This is our third trip to this wonderful neighborhood restaurant. The food is outstanding. Best French Onion soup in town. Also the beef tartare is the real thing. It is what you would expect to eat in Paris. Portions are very generous. Steak Frites excellent, Moules excellent, Duck Wellington so good. They actually have a "Floating Island" Dessert that is the real deal too. We plan to return very soon.
In case you were wondering whether PS-21 is a good place to dine, and what kind of food they specialize in, let me tell you...YES, and French...Real French. The "PS" in the name stands for Pierre Schmidt, the delightful, personable (and modest) chef and owner. My wife and I were celebrating and were on the prowl for authentic French cuisine. Interesting cocktails , good wine list and food well prepared. Between us we had steak et frites (generous portions), salmon wrapped in pastry shell , and duck breast in pastry . Gran Marnier Soufflé for desert was a nice finish . Our young Cuban waitress was very friendly and attentive. A nice night out !
