After a change in ownership, the food quality has noticeably declined, and the restaurant is no longer the hidden gem it used to be in downtown Houston. Prices are slightly higher by a dollar or two, with a price increase that is too much for a casual dining option at a rudimentary setting. The 2 bbq item combo with soy milk is around $18.00. Customers should bring cash to avoid an extra charge for spending less than $15. The staff are approachable, but it is recommended to call ahead before closing as some items, like pork belly, are sold out after the lunch rush. The food is still good, but tends to be stale by the end of the day.
