The Nook Cafe Reviews
it’s not bad, prob the best coffee shop on campus compared to the others
I went to the uh cafe and it’s Just a very normal coffee shop with very normal nothing special but the coffee is a little pricy plus and up charge for everything
Very lovely cafe next to UH! This morning the barista with a ponytail was very sweet and helped me pick the best matcha for me, she created a warm environment and was also very friendly and helpful to everyone else before me! Perfect study spot; spacious, lots of seating and outlets! I always feel super comfortable studying/working here. They also have an outdoor area with outlets. The drinks here are always great and consistent
The Nook Cafe is a cozy spot that has recently been remodeled, adopting a modern minimalist look. Despite the new appearance, the friendly baristas still stand out, serving good coffee and creating a welcoming atmosphere. The cafe is often busy, especially in the evenings when finding a table can be a bit difficult. The pastry selection remains good, and there is a downstairs cozy seating area along with an upstairs space. The outdoor seating is perfect for a mental break during study sessions, although outlets outside do not work, so laptops need to be charged beforehand. The cafe offers a variety of drinks, including matcha, which many customers say is the best around, and a good selection of teas and pastries. The "dirty chai" is a popular choice that provides a quick boost without the bitter taste some other places have. The decor is quirky and hipster-friendly, with blackboard walls, wooden utensils, and refurbished tables. The staff is friendly, and the rewards program is appreciated, offering a free drink after 10 purchases. The cafe is a great place to hang out, study, and enjoy a cup of coffee, especially with the free Wi-Fi and relaxed vibe. Visitors should be mindful of parking regulations, as they have a paid lot.
