“Delayed review of Casa Jalisco in the Co-op in Hutto. We stopped by for our first time for lunch after workout on a Saturday afternoon. Decided to sit at the bar since it's usually faster. Weird layout that you have to walk through the dining room to get to the bar, but no biggie. Took a while for a bartender to greet us and give menus and take drink order. Probably another 10+ minutes for someone to take our food order. Over 30 minutes for the food to come out and they only brought my food, my husband's came over 5 minutes later. Luckily he had ordered an a la carte taco so he had something to munch on. Finally his "beef fajitas" came out on a plate, not a sizzling platter, and was cold. He asked for salad instead of rice and beans so they just threw some lettuce and tomatoes on the plate, lettuce was soggy from the meat and no dressing. Flavors were decent overall, but I can't look past both bad service and bad food. Unfortunately, we won't be returning. There are plenty of other high quality Tex-Mex restaurants around with prompt service and excellent food.“

“Cover is very reasonable. Loads of pool tables that are of good quality. A great occasion for me to realize I hate playing pool. Bar food is shockingly cheap, like $5 including tax for a load of onion rings. Music is loud but not so loud you need to shout too much to talk. Service attentive. No complaints. A rare five stars from me.“

“If I could give more than five stars, I would. The Rowdy Rebel is already a great place to grab a drink and hang out, but Jersey is the reason I keep coming back. She has the most bubbly personality, an incredible smile, and a way of making everyone feel genuinely welcome the moment they walk through the door.

She’s absolutely stunning—from her perfectly sun-kissed tan to her platinum-blonde hair—but what really stands out is her energy. She’s warm, refreshing, fun to talk to, and always makes the experience better. It’s rare to meet someone who can brighten the whole atmosphere just by being themselves, and Jersey does exactly that.

The drinks are great, the bar has an awesome vibe, but Jersey is the MVP of The Rowdy Rebel. If you stop by, do yourself a favor and let her take care of you. You’ll understand why so many people keep coming back. Five stars all day long!“

“Y’all know that one song by Toby Keith (RIP) about loving this bar? Pretty sure he wrote it about Third Base in Round Rock, TX. It’s pretty much impossible not to love this bar. I’ve joked for a long time that it’s been my second office and my home away from home. It’s a place where I’ve partied, spent countless hours working, brought friends to from out of town, signed deals and contracts with clients, had lunches and dinners, conducted interviews, and made multiple friends over the course of nearly a decade as a patron. There’s not a single bad item on the menu. Their chicken wings are otherworldly. There’s rarely a dull moment. There’s never been a single staff member that made me feel unwelcome. However, there’s one staff member in particular that kept me coming back multiple days per week over the years. Samantha. I’ve given her many nicknames since I met her back in 2019. I like to call her “Sam and Cheese” because she’s always smiling and cheesing behind the bar. Sometimes I call her “Samsung” when she’s really on it and delivering her usual speedy “5G” service. But my personal favorite (and she probably doesn’t even understand the reference herself) is “Samwise Gamgee”… because she is the true hero of the story of Third Base. 😂. I moved to the Dallas/DFW area a couple years ago, and she was amongst the most difficult people in my life to say goodbye to. I sent her a text message longer than this review telling her how grateful I am for her years of friendship, unlicensed therapy sessions, strong drinks, and unwavering service from the other side of the bar. It’s tough to find a bartender like Sam these days and although I’ve searched up here in the areas around my new home, I’ve realized I’ll never find a replacement for Samantha or Third Base. Which is why I make it a point to still come back and visit every month or two. Couldn’t recommend Third Base more to anyone who hasn’t been. And if you want your experience to be a real “Sam Dunk”, visit them between 11AM-5PM during the week, I promise you won’t regret it.“

“I love this bar for the great atmosphere , but just recently I tried the smash burger from the truck. Do not skip it! The crust on the patty was perfect, not greasy, and the cheese was perfectly melted.

“We visited for the 4th of July and the entire place was clean and tidy. The employees accommodated our request for a more separate bowling lane since we came with toddlers. Most importantly, we ran into an equipment malfunction in the arcade and the manager not only fixed it but also helped my toddler win a prize. Little things like that go a long way to making a returning guest. Thank you!!“
