Our family of 6 went. Po Boys were huge and tasty. Nice French fries. Red beans and rice was excellent, but not a lot of meat visible. Nice side salads and kids portion was great. Pork chops were disappointing. No Jambalaya or some other Cajun favorites. Music was just rock and pop, not Cajun or even close to Cajun, which was a missed opportunity at adding some southern ambiance. Nice decor, otherwise.
Mel is absolutely the best! He and Daniel made our family Thanksgiving gathering at his restaurant feel like home. Our parents would love knowing that all of their kids and grandkids were gathered around the table together enjoying food that was just as delicious as Mom would have made in her own kitchen. We thank you, Mel, our “brother from another mother,” for the amazing food and even more amazing company. We are so grateful that you were there to join us!
