“The shop has new owners. The mother and daughter who run the place are amazing. They genuinely care about you. I stop every morning for a coffee with a shot of expresso and my kolache or donut. The bread on the kolache is delicious and the donuts are always made fresh. Most of the reviews on here are from the old owners. Give them another shot and trust you will not be disappointed!!! “We used Alchemy Bake Lab for our daughters wedding May 21, 2022. They were so easy to work with. Kady created the beautiful wedding cake and an absolutely gorgeous dessert bar to go with it. You would have thought our guests had not eaten in a month the way they mobbed the dessert bar. Since the wedding I have received call after call asking who did the desserts. Would recommend Alchemy Bake Lab without hesitation and would use them again in a heart beat.“

“Minuti Coffee has always been my favorite, and this location is no exception. It’s consistently nice and cozy, and they usually provide excellent service—except for today. I believe they may have changed the manager.

The manager brought up a rule that I had never heard of before. I’ve been using the Minuti Card since it was introduced. My usual routine is to reload $30 onto my card, get my free coffee, and then use the card to pay for the rest of my order. However, today, the manager told me that I couldn’t use my Minuti Card on the same day I reload it because, according to her, the system wouldn’t allow it.

I asked if this was a new rule because no one had ever mentioned it before. I even asked her to try processing it because I knew it would work—I’ve done it the same way for years. Sure enough, it worked, and I was able to pay with my Minuti Card immediately after reloading it. Despite this, she insisted that it’s a rule and that it worked “this time” but wouldn’t next time.

This policy doesn’t make sense to me. If it really is a rule, I would expect someone to have informed me before, which would have avoided today’s issue. Even if it is an actual rule, the way she explained it came across as dismissive and unprofessional.

I’m leaving this review because of her attitude. I truly love this location and hope they take steps to ensure experiences like this don’t ruin its reputation.“

“Best authentic Shanghainese food in the area! Definitely give it a try! The pan-fried buns, Xiaolongbao, fried pork chop, and pork chop with rice cake are all super delicious! We haven’t tried other stuffs but can’t wait! Highly recommended!“
