“So happy to have found and tried this restaurant! Fair warning, other the prices for item beat other Venezuelan restaurants, it's still priced as a luxury. Think Starbucks pastries. Tried the shredded chicken and shredded beef arapa's. They come with delicious white cheese! But also with mayo and ketchup normally. Unless you love ketchup and/or mayo, recommend ordering that on the side for your first time. I grew up eating them without Mayo, or ketchup. Finally, try the cassava/yucha and cheese pastry, and the potato and cheese empanada. Both were delicious, crispy, and the empanada was flaky. Came with a pinkish hot sauce and a white sauce reminiscent of ranch but not as fancy. All was delicious. Hope to come back and try the pizza pastries, and the sweet plantain pastries. Forgot to ask if any of this was fried, so come on a cheat day, and if you're in the mood or Venezuelan, or to try something new if you're not familiar. Passion fruit/parchita juice available! Sweet, tart, and refreshing. Like a mango limeade but better. I mix it with water though to smooth it out.“

“A new Kabob spot popped up on my Instagram so I had to make my way over. I think I actually saw a video of their saffron wings first, that video hooked me. Solid flavor on the wings and the two sauces that came with compliments them pretty well. The chicken kabobs were probably the juiciest I've ever seen, marinade lightly but just enough for me to want to go back and get some more. The two owners were very nice and hospitable. They offered us complimentary hot tea after our meal and I love me some tea! Located in a food truck park right behind Fusion Grill on Mason. There was probably 10 other trucks there but only a few open on Monday. Go get you some!“

“My wife's friends recommended the Himalayan Food Truck, and I am glad they did. The menu is small but limited, offering popular Nepali favorites like momo, samosa, and chowmin. This was my first time trying vegetarian Nepali cuisine - I usually indulge in vegetarian Indian dishes - and I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty everything was.

My family ordered both the steamed momo and the fried momo, each served with a spicy sauce. A word of caution: the sauce is spicier than spicy, so use it carefully. We also enjoyed the tea - which was a bit too sweet for me, but it paired nicely with the food.

The setup is simple: a food truck parked in a gas station lot with four outdoor tables and benches. Despite the modest setting, the experience felt welcoming. The young lady taking orders was extremely pleasant. She was juggling order-taking, payments, food prep, and table delivery - all with a gracious smile. She even brought bottled water to our table without us asking. It is clear she runs the operation with efficiency, warmth, and pride.

Overall, the Himalayan Food Truck offers good food, friendly service, and a chance to try something different. If you are in the mood for flavorful Nepali dishes and do not mind a simple outdoor setup, this spot is definitely worth a visit.“

“This is a hidden gem in Katy. Friday night around 9 pm they were still working hard cooking up authentic tacos on the grill & smelled mouth-watering good! I stopped in for directions & couldn't stay, but plan on coming back. It's a tight-run family operation. Very friendly & fast service. Outdoor, semi-covered seating, and it's a fun, upbeat, authentic vibe. Highly recommend. It's tucked away, but worth finding! Not your average taco truck. Someone take some taco pics, please!“

“5/5 Stars – Absolutely Worth It!

Pollo El Norteño is hands down one of my favorite pollo trucks. The staff is super friendly and they speak English, which makes the experience smooth and welcoming. The food is Absolutely amazing. Everything is made fresh to order, served hot, and packed with flavor. I highly recommend the mix plate it’s $27, but totally worth every dollar. Generous portions, perfectly seasoned meat, and just so satisfying.

The only downside is that they’re cash only, which means I can’t just drop by on a whim. I have to plan ahead to make sure I have cash on hand. If they accepted Zelle or any other form of digital payment, I’d definitely come by way more often.

Still, if you’re prepared, this place is a gem. Don’t miss it!“

My husband and I just got home from eating from this place. Man, easily a 10/10. It was super chill, the food was great, and the customer service was phenomenal. We asked if their birria meat was chivo or res and the owners nephew went on to explain that it was cachete de res which explained why the meat was so soft and flavorful. You can tell they truly care about their customers and want us to continue coming back. I can’t wait to keep making my back bigger by trying everything from their menu. They also serve complimentary charro beans on the weekends I believe… so BOMB! Such a pleasant experience. Thanks!!

I stopped by here on a monday evening to grab some dinner. You know how you go someplace and you're very hungry. So everything on the menu looks delicious? That's Tacos El Derby.
It was nighttime when I was kind of wandering through the parking lot. Because I can smell the food, but I didn't see the taco truck kind of in the back corner.
Anywayway, once I found the place, I order a pastor quesadilla. And 5 pastor tacos that come with a small serving of charo beans.
The charo beans were definitely a hit! They had great flavor, and I instantly wished, that I got a larger serving of them.
The tacos came with grilled onions and a grilled serrano chili pepper. As well as cucumber slices. This was a winning combination, it tastes great!
The quesadilla was also very good. Although a little greasy. It came with a side of Pico de Gallo, some sliced avocades. And sour cream on the side. A perfect combination, and it all tasted delicious.
My order also came with two red and three green salsas. The salsas were very good.
All total, the damage for my meal was $24. That's pretty good, and definitely filling. If I ever find myself in this area again, i'm gonna stop by.And try as much of the menu as I can.“

They are positive and do not get discouraged. They try their best to inspire our son. “I really wish we had more of these open places in the Houston area especially since Austin has so many. This was a great little spot to sit outdoors to enjoy the weather. The main tables in the center have overhead fabric shades that may or may not block out the sun depending on the angle, but there are also a few tables with complete shade under some tents. I came around 6 p.m. on a Saturday and most of the trucks were open while it was not crowded at all. Parking was still easy in front; by 6:30 most of the lot was filled but the lot across the street was wide open.

I had a delicious (albeit pricey) arepa from Arepas Don Carlos. The seating areas were really nice and clean. There is a very small playground for younger kids. I just wish there were more drink options because almost all of the trucks were food and it does get hot outside. There were drink kiosks that were either not booked yet or just not open at the time. I would definitely come again.“

“Best street tacos in Katy! Authentic to what a street tacos should be. The lady that cooks here is also super nice along with the guys that sometimes help her. They are NOT greedy with their taco meat! The tacos are loaded, full size (not tiny), and delicious.

I’ve had their tacos in fajita, pastor, tripa, lengua, campechana, and all have been so good!!

I’ve also had their quesadillas, enchiladas and gorditas (underrated) and they are delicious! Gorditas are HUGE!

Don’t let the small truck or lack of big flashy lights (cough cough lol) fool you, this spot is a hidden hole in the wall.

Salsas are spicy!! Just a warning, a little goes a long way - will make you sweat!“

“I made a great decision to come watch football with an appetite. I had the luxury to try many items off the menu and I was fully satisfied. The two meat platter with juicy delicious ribs falling off the bone, amazing cheese bread that's really texas toast on Crack with a perfect balancing slaw. Threw in a side of the tri-tip chili and indulged with a few bites of the Mac. The chili is a great cold day fix or perfect topping for your tots or fries. The Mac is unique and definitely hard to stop eating. I some chicken strips and had plenty oaddedf left overs for an amazing price. Maurice is a here to please and definitely has mastered his talent. I opted for the Pepito, per their recommendation, and have no regrets! It was a delicious sandwich consisting of cut up beef on a soft, warm baguette and served fries. Definitely hit the spot!
