However, I found the price of the juice a bit steep. $6.50 for a small glass with no refills seemed a bit much for me. Despite that, I'd definitely return for the curry, but I'll pass on the juice next time.“

It's a simple menu of fried shrimp, catfish, crab claws, oysters, hush puppies, fries and gumbo. But the main reason to go here is beautifully fresh shucked oysters on the half shell, for the best price in town. Simple. No frills, elbow to elbow with your neighbors. Exactly what it needs to be and nothing else. They also serve plenty of beer and make the best handmade micheladas in town.“

“Haidilao lives up to its name in terms of service, quality and of course amusement. We went with the whole family close to opening time and got in without a wait. Ordering was a breeze on their tablet, and items came out almost instantaneously-- before some of us even had a chance to make our dipping sauces! Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. We used the English version of some of the "secret phrases" for some goodies. If you're wondering, they do do the ke mu san dance that's gone viral on TikTok. In terms of food-- everything was excellent, from the side dishes to the hot pot items. Presentation was always stellar, especially the "dancing noodles" XD The one thing I wouldn't bother with are the dessert mousses-- they came frozen and stayed that way for a good 20min, and don't have much flavor and I wasn't a big fan of the texture. Then again-- you probably didn't come to Haidilao for dessert.“
