“After driving by this place numerous times, my wife and I decided to finally get some food here. I had the enchiladas and she had California burrito. Let me just say that this California burrito rivals anything you will find in DFW. Including Bad Ass Burritos in Saginaw. The enchiladas were average to be honest. So we're the tamales but really sets this food off is the salsa bar. All the sauces are made in house and above average. The service was great. Friendly and we got our food fast. I recommend getting the food to go. The inside was warm but not unbearable. There isn't much of a dining room either. Pretty simple lay out. All in all not bad. Better then average but still not the best of the best. I recommend this lace for a fast place to grab some good Mexican food on the go.“

“Such an exciting place to have in a small town atmosphere. The owner and his family have gone to great lengths to make this a fun atmosphere with games and comfortable seating. The drinks are out of this world. So many amazing flavors and adaptations which fit any taste or interest. It’s been a great addition to our town. You can order drinks with or without sugar, protein enhanced and even frozen fruit if someone prefers. The ramen noodles are one of those menu items you think wouldn’t mix but are fun and filling, especially when you’re on the go.“

“Had breakfast there this morning & omg I’m so picky about my orange juice always being very warm but not here it was so very cold and I love love love that !! I love it so much that I had 2 glasses & I never do that anywhere!! The French toast was amazing!! The chicken & waffles was a huge hit as well !! I will b back for sure ! Our waitress was excellent as well loved her I don’t remember her name but she amazing!! The whole staff was amazing and that’s the kind of service that keeps customers like me coming back !! We had a fantastic experience at Barrera's! The bartender was friendly, attentive, and made some of the best margaritas and carajillos we've had in a long time. Even during a busy shift, service was quick and professional, and they made everyone at the bar feel welcome. Great drinks, great attitude, and excellent customer service. We'll definitely be back for the drinks and the outstanding hospitality!“

“We were looking to try something new. La Mesa was pretty good. Lindsey is a great waitress and offered great recommendations. The food style reminded me a lot of Frijoles, but that's fine. The menu was smaller, but they offered all the staples. We split the enchilada trio with borracho beans. The beef enchilada in green sauce was our favorite. The atmosphere/dining experience was great. Love how spacious and comfortable everything is. 8 out of 10 Definitely will consider coming out here again next time we are in Joshua.“
