I shared a few inspiration photos along with our birthday invitation, and she exceeded my expectations. “Went with Texas Ice Cream for a company picnic. There were approximately 100 to 150 people there. Luke was our designated driver for the day. He showed up about 15 minutes early and set up. Very professional, a really nice, well-mannered young man. I highly recommend Texas Ice Cream for your events. Couldn't ask for a better experience. Ask for Luke, he'll definitely take care of you. The soft serve was a big hit with everyone at the picnic. They will definitely get invited back next year. Local staffing service.“

“Wednesday, 5/19 at the West Side Farmers market, I had the Asada tacos plate, three beauties that were some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. Great quality, nice folks. Highly recommend. They sold out at the market. Hope to see them again out there on Chapin Road.“

“After seeing this truck for a couple of years we finally decided to try it tonight. Glad that we did. She got a loaded small baked potato and it was really good. I got the loaded fries with bistec and two tacos, one bistec and one pastor. Again, it was all very good. Staff was very friendly. We will be back!“

“Fajita steak shish ka bobs!!! Do I need to say more? The location I went only had 5 cars in the parking lot when I showed up. On a SATURDAY night.... had me slightly suspect... but I checked the reviews and it had 4 stars so I had to try it. I wanted something I hadn't had at other Mexican restaurants in my state, so I tried the Steak Shish ka bobs. Whew!!! They were REALLY REALLY good!!! Such a nice variation from the typical. Server was nice and friendly which just made everything better.“

“I go here on a weekly basis! The tacos are always packed with meat and toppings for the price! (Plus the salsa is amazing and fresh!) Staff is always friendly and amazing customer service! As someone with rny everything makes me sick but this place has never! My only complaint is the times they are open! I work nights and by time I’m off they are closed and they open when I go into work 😭! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️“

“This location is a taco truck, and they are clean inside, but they sit outside of a Valero station, which is not the best atmosphere. Yet the food was good and reasonable. You can even call in your orders. Referred by a friend. It did live up to their experience.“

“Since they started at the smaller restaurant they always been VERY great in service , taking orders , making sure everything is fine while you eat! When when they are busy they are still fast! All waitresses are soo friendly! Great food tacos and chips n hot sauce 10/10 don’t forget the beans ! They also have menudo!“

“I have eaten and shared my love of BBQ for years traveling the United States in my job, and living for a time in South Texas enjoying the outstanding Tex Mex cuisine of mesquite wood burning smoked brisket, pulled pork, ribs, chicken, turkey, etc. JR's is a wonderful experience if you are looking for outstanding BBQ, family outing, very professional, friendly staff, with a wide selection of menu options that are simply delicious! I have tried the brisket, pulled pork, chicken, turkey, ribs, mac and cheese, other side dishes, and soups. I have never been disappointed. JR is one of the friendliest, generous, and community- oriented individuals you would ever meet. I have had the opportunity to see his operation from the fire pits in the back, kitchen, and have always been highly impressed with the cleanliness of his facility. That speaks volumes to the importance of not just quality taste, flavor blending of smoke wood meats, but to the importance of food safety. I would highly recommend stopping by and trying the food for yourself as the flavor of mesquite smoked meat is tantalizing to the taste buds, the atmosphere is very friendly/inviting, and the service the best! Suffice it to say that JR and his staff go out of their way to make sure your dining experience is memorable, and enjoyable! P.S. ask JR to let you see the fire pits in the back so you can see where the outstanding BBQ is made. JR is very approachable.“
