She was so exhausted from her long shift yet she still took the extra mile to take great care of my family at the last minute right before closing. This was after the whole eclipse was over. “A down home local stand for more than 60 years, fresh, hot, made to order delights such as ground beef hamburgers, sized to order- SM to Jumbo Double, choice of fixings, cheeses and a vast assortment of mouth watering favs! Try a fish burger, chicken sandwich, steak burger- mm mm good!! Brown's is a no nonsense drive in, order, wait and dig in- just a few booths to sit outside. All credit cards and cash are happily accepted. No public restroom-- but--- the food is a local tradition in Kerrville and is definitely a must to check out. Excellent prices, great food, great food (YES!), and made to order with a smile! These are a few items on the menu- ground beef hamburgers, chicken fingers, homemade potato chips, fries, jalapeno poppers, assorted fixings such as mushrooms, onions and all the goodies you need to enjoy a delicious homemade different change of pace. The food is delicious and if compared to McD's, Sonic or any other fast food joint, the prices are much lower and the food is not some processed junk. If you dare- try the Jumbo double Hamburg all the way- pick up a cold can of pop, sit in one of the booths or enjoy in your vehicle or take it go and head over to Louise Hays Park and indulge in some good ol' honest fast food made the way you like. “Although I went there at lunch time and the restaurant was busy, the wait staff was very pleasant, cordial and quick. My food was prepared quickly and was hot when it arrived. The restaurant was very clean and a very pleasant atmosphere, despite being busy.“
“Good Burger. They should tell more people that it's a Smashburger so that they're not confused as to why it's all burnt around the edges. I know what to expect so it was fine. Other people give bad reviews and say that the burgers are overcooked. They are not. Burger was tasty, crunchy around the edges the way it's supposed to be for a smash burger. Fries were good but very veryskinny shoe string types . Not very hot either. I ordered a vanilla milkshake. It was very thick and very good. It was my first time eating here, but I'll be back. tables are pretty close to each other so you will probably have to listen to someone's cell phone conversation whether you want to or not. The announcements for whose order is Up Next are extremely loud. Turn down the damn mic! The place is noisy enough.“
“My husband and I could kick ourselves for waiting so long to eat here. Seriously the best baked potatoes we’ve eaten. Plenty of fillings on these large potatoes include tender meat and homemade bbq sauce. The owners are exceptionally nice and made sure we were pleased with our meal. When company comes to town we will introduce them to Backyard Burgers & Spuds.“
“This was my first time at Culver's! I saw the great rating and wanted to check it out. Ordered from the drive-thru, so I did not see the dining room, but the covered patio seating area outside looked comfortable. The drive-thru procedure is well-designed, putting a sticker on your rearview mirror and pulling up in a line, in case you have an easy order that comes out before the person in front of you. I ordered the Cod platter, and I was so pleasantly surprised by how excellent the fish was breaded/fried to perfection. The fish was also very thick, flaky and tasted fresh. Fries were delicious and perfectly seasoned. Coleslaw was OK - could have been a bit fresher. Root beer was divine and caffeine free! Will definitely be back for high quality fast food experience. Want to try their frozen custard next time!“

“Grilled chicken sandwich I asked to be made like a burger was awesome. It had cheese, lettuce, pickle, tomatoes, onions, bacon, and jalapenos with whataburger sauce. I highly recommend it.Also recommend group or party pack. The 10 burgers were perfect and we got double patties with cheese. Everything else was on the side, so everyone was happy and could make it like they wanted. Real people pleaser.“
“Clean & quick service!! We had breakfast (biscuits with gravy, eggs & bacon). Three of us and it was good. Omelets looked good, hash browns were wonderful and coffee was hot. Nice , quiet and very reasonable prices!!! Will go again!“
