“Nice place, friendly people and good food. I can attest to the Chicken and Dumplings and the Fried Catfish. It wouldn't hurt to increase the proportion they give for the Chicken and Dumplings and perhaps laid of the the salt a bit but otherwise its good; kinda reminds me of the way my late Grandpa made it.

“My wife and I, along with a friend, visited The Yard today. My wife and our friend had the burgers and I had the blue cheese burger. The food was great and the blue cheese burger - I don’t believe there’s a burger like it in San Antonio that can beat it. The blue cheese wasn’t overpowering any other tastes and seemed to complement the rest of the burger well. The fries were delicious. Drinks were great. It’s a little dark in here as far as lighting - we arrived around 6:30 PM in July so there plenty of light coming in from outside but no interior table lighting that I could notice.

It is very worth the trip to go here. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Enjoy!“
