“We’ve been wanting to try this place and it was a great experience, from the Asian decor to the welcoming atmosphere to the food. We got the Shumai to start off and it was pretty good. I suggest having the sauce on the side if you’re not into really spicy things. My friend got the beef bowl and it was delish. The beef was perfectly seasoned and the sauce had a great flavor. You don’t get much protein, so next time he wants to order it with extra meat. I got the west side Ramen which was yummy. The broth was ok, but the noodles were good and plenty. I got the pork loin since I always get the pork belly, so it wasn’t as flavorful. Overall it was good, but I’ve had better. Definitely a place to try if you’re in the area and/or want to eat good food.“

“This was our first time in here. The food was so good and so fresh. We had orange chicken, egg rolls, tempura shrimp, california roll and the Texas roll. Everything was VERY tasty. Highly recommend. We will definitely come back. Totally worth the stop.“

“This was our first time eating here and we loved it!!! I wish I had took a photo of my food. I got the Teriyaki chicken with fried rice and vegetables. It was so delicious. The best teriyaki chicken and fried rice I have ever eaten and it had such a perfect flavor. We definitely will be coming back and I would recommend this place to everyone I know.“

“I love this place! My family and I always enjoy coming here. My kids can be picky eaters, but when it comes to the sushi, gyoza, and appetizers, they love it!
Our go-to is the Chicken Katsu—it’s absolutely delicious. Whether you dine in or order it to go, the food is always great. The owners are incredibly kind, and the wait staff is awesome too!
Definitely one of our favorite places to eat. Highly recommend!“

“More Accolades for Jay and Sushi Tao! Every time I visit ST, I don’t think it could get any better… but it truly seems to. The BEST lunch special with the BEST quality fish of anywhere! I’ve always been a fan of Toro, one of my favorite cuts of sashimi. But today I was introduced to belly salmon, and it was simply amazing! If you haven’t been, you have to try this place! And did I mention they had a full bar! 😁“

“Went for my sisters birthday with the whole family today. The food was wonderful and the staff was even better! They were very attentive to my older parents and even offered us to pull the car to the side exit when we were done to avoid the steps at the front for them. The chef was incredible and was so great with my young niece! He was extremely interactive and funny and it made for a wonderful family experience. The food was perfect and the wait staff was wonderful as well. Cannot recommend this place enough!“

Management was great and surprised our kids with some fruit and boba, our server Cyrus was super friendly and on top of it, making sure the kids had everything they needed and made their first sushi boat experience was a hit. “The creative presentation was amazing and so fun! And the food was great! We tried the chicken, beef, and salmon and every morsel was delicious. My daughter said it was the best fried rice she's ever had. And the ginger sauce and cream sauce I put on everything. The Japanese clear soup at the beginning was even so delicious we drank all of it. Great food, great place!“

“Been a life long fan and have supported Sushi Axiom for years. Today after Bass Hall we decided it was drinks and maybe an appetizer. Arrived 9:20 and were greeted with a “you gotta be kidding me” face and told the kitchen closed at 9. Asked if we could do drinks at the bar, she proceeded to say the bar closed at 9:30. The door clearly says it’s open till 10pm. I own a restaurant myself and if anyone ever did that to my patrons it would be their last day. You’re open until the hours you advertise, or change your hours. Disrespectful and conveniently misleading. I will think twice as there many sushi options for our next sushi visit.“

“Incredible experience. We have been here before with great service and food, but tonight was the best! We celebrated our 5 year old's birthday and from the time we walked in, she felt so special. As always, the food was delicious...but that was only the beginning. From the dancing dragon that came to tell her happy birthday, to the gift of special chopsticks...she felt like a queen. Thank you Takara for helping our little girl feel so special. We will definitely be back.“

I got the Curry Vegan Ramen. Vegetable curry soup topped with napa cabbage, cabbage, carrot, bok choy, green onion and ajitama. It came with Housemade Vegetable Noodles as well. Highly recommend this spot!
