Food:
I’m fairly new to the area and I was in search of a good sushi place and Nori Sushi did not disappoint. The selection and prices are amazing. Today I ordered a chicken katsu bento box and the vegetable fried rice in order to try a variety of food. The katsu was amazing and so were the California rolls. I did also enjoy the cabbage slaw and salad but personally I’m not a fan of too much dressing or slaw but they were still enjoyable.
Customer Service:
When I walked in I was initially greeted and able to sit wherever I wanted. I also receive excellent service throughout the duration of my meal.
Atmosphere:
The atmosphere visually is good and the place has a nice vibe. They chose very nice decor and made great use of the space here. I greatly appreciate that. Also from what I’ve noticed the place seems to be a “mom and pop” kind of place and I also appreciate this too as I like to spend my money with the local businesses rather than large corporations.

I've gotten the privilege to live in Japan. Although one thing that haunts my soul is the yearning I have for the food that I left behind when returning home. This place filled my soul with a dinning experience that almost replicates the joys you find in a small little alley deep in the heart of Osaka, or Naha, or Tokyo.
It felt so authentic that when I closed my eyes for a moment I could believe I was back where I do desperately wanted to be.
This place doesn't just serve you food. It transports you back into the feeling of eating in Japan. Which is such a precious experience that is hard to recreate especially in America.
My waitress was wonderful the food left me in tears. I could go on and on about this place. But the bottom line is this place feeds you and your soul. I highly recommend.“

“One of the tastiest places, clean with great energy and fun. Vivi our waitress was kind, pleasant and tolerant and the food was excellent. My little 8 year old son ate lobster for the first time and it was one of the tastiest dishes in addition to the spicy tuna tartare which was perfect And the rest of the food was more than great.“

“This is a regular for me during lunch since I work nearby. I always get the same thing, takeout for an Alaskan Lunch Combo, comes out to $16 total with taxes.

The roll in this combo are pretty good size and they give a couple fried items, a single veggie roll and a single gyoza dumping. Comes with a little side salad and another half a California roll. This lunch fills me up every time and good quality sushi.“

“Had the spicy pork Tonkotsu and tossed karage. Honestly one of the best bowls of ramen I've ever had. It was peppery and just the right amount of garlic and spice. They put the spice on the side for you to mix at your liking. I out the whole thing and it was awesome. Perfect noodles, soft pork, egg and broth were amazing. Kaarage was light and thin batter that was still crisp with the spicy sauce. They were a tad spicy but nothing crazy and the fried onions on top was a nice touch. Definitely would get these again.“

Even after we had boxes and were paying the bill, she refilled my drink! Which never happens. We had a chicken katsu, mountain roll, Hawaiian roll, and a Dallas Stars roll and my god they were incredible. The presentation, the amount, THE TASTE. “The sushi is about half the price of most sushi places. You’ll be happy you found it. You order at the cashier and pay in advance they will bring your food to the table . They don’t have a traditional waiter . You get your own drink at a self service set up. They don’t expect a tip and That’s really refreshing. However after you go there a couple times you’ll feel like they earned it and will feel like they really deserve it. Overall I think it’s the best sushi in value in Irving.“

I ordered the salmon ahi tower and a dragon roll and was shocked at the size of the portions - definitely a pleasant surprise! I expected to just have a small dinner but this enough for at least 3 meals. The food is so fresh and made to order. The chef is so sweet! I’ll definitely be back soon!“

“The staff here is extremely friendly. The place was clean the food was decent. I have had better sushi, I ordered the daily bento, but their prices are very reasonable and with how friendly they are it is worth eating here. I came by myself for lunch.

I'm only passing through the area, but if I had the opportunity to come back I would definitely try other options on the menu as I think that might rate even higher.“
