“It’s not cheap, but man is it worth it. Quality ingredients with a great presentation of options and portions. Tender steak and chicken as an unusual delight compared to most bowls I’ve had at similar restaurants. Best rice fried rice I’ve had in a long while.“

“We enjoy Osaka Sushi Grill. It’s about 1/2 hour drive from us but we still go, we feel is with the drive. The hosts are the best, friendly and cordial. We’ve been going for many many years, since it was named Tokio One.“

“Our first time trying this restaurant was great. We had the crab Rangoon, shrimp hibachi with fried rice, shrimp and steak teriyaki with fried rice, and Philadelphia rolls. Everything was very fresh and flavorful. The crab Rangoon actually tasted like crab and was freshly made. The sushi was delicious. The rice bowls were tasty and the serving was generous. The customer service was impeccable. We were treated very well and even though we went close to closing no one was rude or rushed us out the building. I would certainly go back and I do recommend them.“

We also had a flaming Roll that was really delicious and done differently than what I’ve seen before! The atmosphere is inviting and bas a bar area and table and booth seating! Our service was fast and friendly and I would definitely be back when I’m in the he area!!“

“Dear diary, I don’t think words are enough to describe just how delicious this was :) This was real Japanese ramen, rich and flavorful. The noodles were something else entirely, not just regular pasta. They truly delivered on what the menu promised, and it even exceeded my expectations. Thank you, guys, for being so delicious :)))“

“This place is AMAZING!!!!!! One of the best sushi places without the high prices! You have to try the Salmon Gravlax! If I have to choose one dish for the rest of my life, this will be the one! And the spicy edamame is one of the best in the DFW area! Try the sampler crudo, and you'll be set!

“Had the shrimp katsu which was very tasty and the sides from the deluxe box paired well. It was pretty empty when we went which was surprising given the quality of the food. Would definitely go again. Downside is the plastic utensils and the water was warm. Also the miso soup was too salty. The restaurant is self serve which I prefer.“

“If you're looking for a sushi experience that goes beyond the traditional, this cozy little gem is an absolute must-visit. Tucked away in a quiet corner, this sushi spot offers not only top-notch sushi but also some truly unique dishes that elevate the dining experience. The atmosphere is intimate and inviting, with warm lighting and an open kitchen that lets you watch the chefs work their magic.
The Foie Gras Nigiri is a standout—rich, buttery, and perfectly seared, it pairs surprisingly well with the delicate flavors of the sushi rice and fish. It's an indulgent twist on the classic sushi experience that truly highlights the restaurant's inventive approach. For something truly decadent, the Foie Gras Sushi Roll is a must-try. The combination of tender foie gras, fresh fish, and just the right amount of seasoning creates a dish that's both comforting and sophisticated.“

“We gave this place a try on Sunday for dinner. And it’s definitely a place we will go back too. Food was good and the portion sizes are great. We were the only ones in there for a while and towards the end of our meal others came in. The prices are also great. I spent $90 on 4 adults and a few appetizers. We were impressed as well as having the robot deliver our food.
This place is a 5 minute drive from our house and I’m glad we stopped here and decided to try it out. Definitely didn’t disappoint!“

“Soooooooo good!!! Fresh, fresh, FRESH ingredients, cooked practically in front of you. I had shrimp teriyaki and my daughter had a combo of steak and shrimp. Beef was tender, shrimp were large, veggies fresh and not overcooked. Portions are large.
Please try this new restaurant out. We will be repeat customers for sure! Also very pleasant and friendly manager (owner?)“

“Every dish was cooked to perfection.
It’s on the pricier side, even more expensive than most sushi omakases in Dallas, but the experience was beyond our expectations. I’m currently pregnant, and they were able to switch out the raw dishes for me to cooked alternatives with prior notice when I made the reservation. Chef Otaka steamed the uni in the dishes that he used uni, and he cooked my yakitori skewers a little longer. We really appreciate the attention to detail.
The Korean couple next to us told Chef Otaka they went to Japan recently and got a reservation at a highly sought after yakitori restaurant there, but they thought Mābo’s yakitori was better. Every bite they took, they would say how delicious it was in Korean.
What’s unfortunate, though, is that the 8:30 PM seating was only half full, which was surprising given that the restaurant accommodates just eight guests. Maybe Dallas isn’t ready for yakitori omakase yet, but we felt like we were in Japan. We loved it!“

“Recently ordered steak bento box.
Beef was tender and seasoned well.
California rolls were satisfying and hit the spot.
Gyoza had fresh fried flavor & the texture of the dumpling was perfect. Satisfying.
Egg roll was good.
Service was great.
On previous experiences their sushi was also freshly made and really good. Wished I ordered it this time.
Only minor complaint is that their Wasabi is a bit weak. I prefer stronger Wasabi that burns ?
Other than that, this is one of my top places to go when I decide to eat out.“

“I'm disappointed in the price. the sushi combos don't come with anything else besides just the sushi and I think for the price they should come with maybe a small side of fried rice or salad or something. The sushi combo A was a California roll and 10 pieces, some of the fish was chewy and the shrimp was low quality and the fish was cut really small - like cheaply small (as in, trying to save a buck small). My husband had the tonkatsu ramen and he said he has tasted better ramen in College Station which is hard for me to look past since College Station is definitely not known for its food. We ordered to-go New Year's Day, so perhaps the food was heavily influenced by the season and day. The restaurant itself was cute and picture-esque.“

“While between appointments, we stumbled upon a charming Japanese restaurant, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise. The inviting atmosphere immediately caught our attention, especially the family-friendly vibe and the option to dine on the patio, which was perfect for the sunny afternoon.
Our server was attentive and friendly, guiding us through the menu and offering recommendations without being overbearing.
As for the food, it was flavorful and beautifully presented. We ordered the Beef and Chicken Yakisoba. Each dish was seasoned just right, allowing the natural flavors to shine without being overly complicated.
The relaxed atmosphere made it an ideal spot for a casual lunch, with plenty of families enjoying their meals around us. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience that felt both welcoming and well-executed. We’ll definitely be returning the next time we’re in the area!“

“Visited with a large group—and were easily accommodated. Warm and inviting dining area. Waitstaff was friendly, and efficient.
We ordered several rounds of small plates.
Gyoza—this was the best gyoza I’ve ever had. Thin and crispy, with pillowy, well seasoned chicken/pork mixture. We started with one portion and ordered two more. I should have had them for an entree too.
Karaage—very juicy, well seasoned. We also had the spicier chicken, and dipped the Karaage in the sauce—very good.
Spicy Tonkatsu—no spicy. Very light broth. Pork was so juicy and addicting. Eggs cooked well. Noodles a very good texture and mouth feel.
Husband had ramen in San Fran, and wanted it back home so we’re happy to find this place. Will return for the gyoza, but husband mentioned the ramen he had in SF was better, more flavorful, and he prefers a thicker noodle.
Bathrooms here were atrocious. The walls were filthy.“

“Great spot for poke!! If you like poke you know sushi rice is essential. Most poke places I’ve found lack this essential quality, but poke sushi roll has great tasting sushi rice. I’ve only gotten their poke bowls and have not been disappointed. I always get their salmon and tuna in my poke and love it! They have great options for toppings and isnt bad on the wallet either We got 5 poke bowls for ~$80. Definetly my new go-to poke spot!“

“This is a very good restaurant
Price is very competitive for their all you can eat lunch or dinner option. It is all you can eat but it is not a buffet. You need to order from the menu to the server and they bring items to you.
We held many special family events such as birthday parties here.“

“A bit loud from some other patrons, but the service is top-notch compared to anything else and any other restaurant, hands down.
The sushi/sashimi menu may seem daunting at first, but after a bit of looking, it is pretty self-explanatory.
Melanie was absolutely awesome!
We had Dragon roll, 3 of a kind roll, the Sundae roll, and the Cajun roll, with some skewers and spicy ramen.
Parking: Parking is pretty open, as most other businesses are closed after 10pm.“

“Blue Fish Japanese Restaurant in Plano delivers a memorable dining experience, particularly with its salmon sashimi and noodle dishes. The salmon sashimi was outstanding—each slice was fresh and impeccably prepared, boasting a rich, buttery texture that practically melted in my mouth. The subtle flavor of the fish paired perfectly with a hint of wasabi and soy sauce, making it a delightful start to the meal.
The noodles were equally impressive, served in a savory broth that had depth and warmth. They were cooked to perfection, providing a satisfying chewiness that complemented the tender meat and fresh vegetables in the bowl.“
