“I brought my mom here for lunch yesterday. The waiter that served us had kind of a crappy attitude honestly. In some moments he was nice but my mom asked what comes on a bento box because she's unfamiliar and he told her "it's on the menu". She just wanted someone to explain it to her because she was confused by the sushi and the meat options. Obviously not an item she orders often. She asked what the meat is for (i think she thought you get sushi or meat she wasn't understanding it was a part of the box) and he looked at her like she was stupid and pretty flatly answered the question. It embarrassed her. My mom is a really kind hearted person so it was frustrating watching someone make her feel dumb for asking a question in an unfamiliar environment. Sad. The food itself was good. The waiter likely was having a bad day. I've been a server and understand. But wish he'd been kinder to my mom.“

“We’ve been wanting to try this place and it was a great experience, from the Asian decor to the welcoming atmosphere to the food. We got the Shumai to start off and it was pretty good. I suggest having the sauce on the side if you’re not into really spicy things. My friend got the beef bowl and it was delish. The beef was perfectly seasoned and the sauce had a great flavor. You don’t get much protein, so next time he wants to order it with extra meat. I got the west side Ramen which was yummy. The broth was ok, but the noodles were good and plenty. I got the pork loin since I always get the pork belly, so it wasn’t as flavorful. Overall it was good, but I’ve had better. Definitely a place to try if you’re in the area and/or want to eat good food.“

The staff are amazing, whether hostess, wait staff, Sushi chefs, even the bus crew everyone is friendly and professional. “I've come here every once and a while off and on for about a decade, the service is always amazing and the food is always great, I was torn about leaving a review that was in poorer taste because this is a really amazing place to eat. I've noticed lately though the portion sizes are diminishing, I ordered the OMG appetizer with jalapeno, cream cheese, crab, ect, (half of the portion I got was already gone by the time I took the photo) and it's delicious! Definitely worth getting, but I was just a little disappointed that all the sticks are about the size of my pinky finger, definitely a one bite and done kind of deal. And in the Philadelphia roll I ordered, there was genuinely barely any smoked salmon except for 1 piece and I took the photo after eating a piece and realizing, though what was there was absolutely delicious! I just wished there was a little bit more for an even amount between the other ingredients in the roll. The last thing I'll add, and I hate to admit it, is I was relieved that I ordered for pickup because when I walked in to grab my food I was immediately hit with a strange sort of sewage smell as soon as I entered the doors, I'm not sure if they were just having some plumbing issues or what, but a friend of mine mentioned when I told them I was ordering that they smelled the sewage smell last time they were in the restaurant too. But the servers behind the counter were very very sweet when I picked up my order, they always are, nothing was missing from my order and everything tasted so fresh and so yummy! I'll definitely keep coming back!“

“Been a life long fan and have supported Sushi Axiom for years. Today after Bass Hall we decided it was drinks and maybe an appetizer. Arrived 9:20 and were greeted with a “you gotta be kidding me” face and told the kitchen closed at 9. Asked if we could do drinks at the bar, she proceeded to say the bar closed at 9:30. The door clearly says it’s open till 10pm. I own a restaurant myself and if anyone ever did that to my patrons it would be their last day. You’re open until the hours you advertise, or change your hours. Disrespectful and conveniently misleading. I will think twice as there many sushi options for our next sushi visit.“

I got the Curry Vegan Ramen. Vegetable curry soup topped with napa cabbage, cabbage, carrot, bok choy, green onion and ajitama. It came with Housemade Vegetable Noodles as well. Highly recommend this spot!
