The crispy Brussels sprouts hummus was the best hummus I’ve ever had. Got the aji steak rissotto which was great (spicier than I had hoped but my hubby loved it). Only complaint was that it needed a bit more meat for the price. I got the peppered chicken and mashed potatoes. Loved it. For dessert the blackberry cobbler was even better than we expected. The corn soufflé was delicious- like a mix between corn bread pudding and creamed corn. Came for valentines dinner and the staff was phenomenal for how busy they were. The young woman who seated us told us she was new and she was a delight. Our waitress was Isabella and she gave us all great suggestions and was attentive all evening but not annoying. “Panther City BBQ continues to be one of the most criminally overlooked spots in the Texas BBQ scene. Everything we had was phenomenal. The brisket was perfectly smoked with a beautiful bark and melt-in-your-mouth texture, the pork belly burnt ends were ridiculous, and the jalapeño mac & cheese and street corn were just as memorable as the meat. The Tex-Mex twist they bring to barbecue is awesome too; the brisket tacos and quesabirria style tacos were unreal. Fort Worth folks already know, but if you’re anywhere in DFW and haven’t made the trip yet, you’re seriously missing out. Panther City deserves way more recognition than it gets.“

“We have been here a NUMBER (10+) of times. Brought several guests to share with, and have had the best experience every times. We have been here with our son, and alone for date night, and it’s been amazing each time. Julie was our waitress on this particular visit, but each waiter we have had has been wonderful. Each area of the restaurant gives a different vibe, yet much the same.

This is the ONLY restaurant that we clear plates each and every time. And we eat something different frequently. The bar staff is amazing, the management is great, and the CLEAN food is worth the money. 10/10 recommend.

We also had the pleasure of attending our second the sunset toast, and this time was to celebrate the engagement of an employee. What a treat!

“WOWWWWW. Our first time here last night and it’s my new favorite restaurant. There was a wait but we just grabbed a drink and waited. Ordered skillet Mac and cheese to start WHEWWW!!! It was so delicious. I ordered the petite filet with jalapeño potatoes which were unreal. My partner had the chicken parm.
Our server, Will, was sweet and attentive. Everyone that works there really works as a team which is so refreshing to see.

“We have been to Whiskey Cake numerous times, and all times have been a positive experience. Today, was above and beyond a typical dining experience! First off, my husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and this location provided a classy and calm ambiance. Our waiter Joe was fun, knowledgeable, and you can tell he overall has impeccable work ethic. Since it was our anniversary we splurged and ordered the charcuterie board… we will do this going forward. This board was eclectic and bougie in a positive way. The chicken melt did not disappoint and the ingredients were fresh! But when I say the in-house whiskey cake blew us away… I’ve never tasted anything like it. We will be back! Thanks again Joe!“
