“if you want the Texas "honky tonk" experience this is the place. the Lone Star Bar is indeed the National Bar of Texas! yes, I know Texas is a state not a nation but don't tell them that.“
“Had a nice stop over at Twin Creeks just off FM 2469 in North Austin recently. They have an indoor bar with outdoor seating next to a small creek. Bring a slice of bread and you can feed the fish in the clear creek waters.
Bartender was very friendly. Interesting mix of patrons from different walks of life, came in during the afternoon hour we were there, most just enjoying a beer in the great spring weather on the day.
Just seemed like a really good, local watering hole in north Austin, a place worth checking out if spending a bit of time in the area.“

“Very cool spot to hang out and have some drinks. Lots of games including pool, ping pong, Jenga, foosball and probably others.There's a bar but also tables to kinda hang out in, and a juke box that you can choose all kinds of music from. I was really happy with the tunes they picked out - an eclectic mix that was nice for all people in our party (all ages).They also had a nice selection of taps of beer and normal well drinks from the bar. I was from out of town and just looking for a cool place to hang and have a few drinks. This place executed that perfectly. Would definitely recommend. :)“

“It doesn’t get anymore “Texas” than Gary P. Nunn performing at Poodie’s Roadhouse. This experience was everything I wanted it to be. Great music cold beer friendly people even one of the best burgers you will ever have all in a real deal Texas Roadhouse! If we lived closer we’d be there every week! I can’t say enough good things! This was truly one of the best musical experiences I’ve ever been to! Great show! Poodie’s Roadhouse provided a great Texas experience. Special thanks to owner Sharon Burke for making our night so special! Get there in time to catch a beautiful sunset . Come hungry cause the burgers and other food is great! All of the regulars we talked to were friendly and welcoming. Put this on your list of must visits!“

“We love beachside Billy’s/volente beach! It’s super chill and low key fun. The toddler area is perfect for the little ones. We enjoyed this summer so much and look forward to next summer. I also really love the toddler time events. I don’t know about other parents, but I’m a single mom who has been drowning and the toddler time is such a nice escape for me and my kids. So grateful it’s been weekly! Thank you! 🙏“

“Just finished dinner at J5! We have been fans ever since they had the location in Bee Cave. Can i say our meal was just perfection! I am going home with a super happy tummy.. I can be a bit of a food snob going out to eat vs cooking at home … and all I can say is yum yum yummy .. Thank you Jamey and you lovely daughter Jaice for her great service!“

“We are staying at Sun Outdoors & wanted to try the local dining area. So pleased we did we certainly will return to Te’kilas. We dined outdoors with comfortable fans blowing.
Our server Jennifer is so sweet we were served chip & salsa immediately.
I asked about the different sauces for my enchilada & she brought out a couple samples for us to try. I loved the Chili Verdi, also had a crispy chicken taco.very yummy!
My husband enjoyed.the Pastor street tacos, beans & rice, he highly recommendations this entree.

“Margarita was okay but let's talk about the food😋 Talk about made in Mexico!!! No TexMex amalgamation here. It's the team deal. The puerc pibil (pork, onion, spices wrapped in a banana leaf and tied with a corn husk string) is to die for. The fresh oregano stands out. the rice is okay but the black beans were the best that I've had this side of Miami. I'm gonna have to go back. Happy, happy, happy“

“We came in from a horrible traffic jam on my birthday week and they welcomed us with warm gesture and really took care of us! The next day they sent us an amazing birthday gifts!! I am definitely coming back this year with additional family members !! Room, food, pools, spa and hospitality deserves 5 star!! “Best location of all for Maudie's in Austin IMHO. True Tex Mex. Must try the Rockin Ruthanns plate and Maidas salad with chicken fajita protein, and cilantro lime dressing, which is unbelievably tasty. Everything from the charro beans, to the extra spicy green salsa (secret menu item) is one of a kind flavorful. Tea is strong, and service is 100 every time. Prices are really good for Austin, home of the $20 single taco food truck experience including waiting 30 minutes in the hot sun only to eat on a picnic table covered in bird poop. Who does that? Tourists, you can stay in your lane and live your best lives out there. This is a place for locals who have eaten at one or all of the Maudie's locations for 3 decades. They really cook in this kitchen. They pour a really mean margarita that everyone swears is the best on the planet. This location has a vast outdoor seating area with views of the hill country. No bird poop since they have a screened roof protecting your food. Overall atmosphere is gorgeous.“

“Food was great, got sauced (Nashville hot) chicken crispers with the three for me and was some of the best fried chicken I’ve had in a while, very very fresh and the fries were also great. Service was perfect as our waiter was there when needed, and occasionally refilled our drinks when they were nearly empty.“
