“Maria's was the 5th spot we tried on our search for best breakfast tacos in SA. The bacon, egg, potato and cheese was really good especially with that hot sauce and its spicy kick. The bean and cheese, while also good wasn't as flavorful as beans I've had elsewhere. The carne guisada and cheese was the best taco for sure. It's a bit of nitpicking, but the meat wasn't quite as tender as compared to other spots and the tortillas overall were on the chewy side. That being said, I really enjoyed this spot and would definitely return for more breakfast tacos as well as to try all the other options on their menu. 4.2 out of 5“

“The food and service was absolutely amazing, it was me and my dad's first time there and they made sure it was special. Our waiter, Zada, was a one of a kind, she made sure we were well attended, provided constant service and gave us plenty of attention. We loved all the different kinds of dips they had for the chips, including a baked bean dip that I personally had never seen before. A staff member from the kitchen provided us with two small famous fajitas since it was our first time there, they were delicious. My dad ordered shrimp fajitas and I ordered cheese enchiladas with beef, they were amazing. I would highly recommend coming to Lupe, it was an amazing experience.“

Food was delicious/ well seasoned!
I had the steak and eggs, for as thin as the skirt steak was, they still did it a medium rare... beans/potatoes were good served with homemade flour and corn tortillas... AMAZING!
I also had the chicken on a stick (a Fiesta fave) delicious and tender, it didn't disappoint.
Hubbs had the chilequilles with a side of barbacoa. His fave was the barbacoa, in a corn tortilla with the beans and potatoes. Chilequilles was ok.
Over all a great little spot! Gets busy around 10am so plan accordingly“

“My grandparents owned several businesses in the area and as a child we would go there for lunch. I visited the restaurant last Wednesday for the first time in over 60 years. The food and service were excellent and authentic. I visited with several staff members to share my story and found the staff to be friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend visitors to San Antonio to eat at the Blue Moon.“

We ordered a few top shelf margaritas pitchers and they were just as strong as he said they would be. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. “I grew up in San Antonio. La Fonda was my favorite restaurant as a child. Back then there were multiple locations around the city. Now there are only two, Alamo Heights, and this one which is in Monte Vista. The food is heavenly. The atmosphere is sublime. Service: exceptional. If you don’t eat TexMex anywhere else while in town you should make time for a late afternoon lunch at La Fonda on Main. It’s in a league of its own. ❤️“

“4 out of 5 stars this time. They weren't super busy today so service should've been spot on. Our wait person was very polite, but once the food arrived, we asked for salt and pepper, as well as tortillas. The salt and pepper didn't arrive until we were done eating and the tortillas never arrived. However, the food was good and the restaurant was clean.

They didn't charge us for the requested tortillas, so I assume the wait person simply got distracted and forgot about them.

“We stopped in to celebrate our son's 12th birthday, his wish was to go plane spotting as a family. My husband remembered from his childhood how close the planes would fly while coming in to land at the airport so we decided to visit again. Best choice ever!
