“We took the kids, one a very picky eater, to Lali Son today and it was a win. The selection had something for everyone, the food was perfect. We went for the chicken Momo, Hakka noodles, lamb curry and kadai. Some of the best naan in north Austin.“

“This restaurant opened 10 days ago. They have the BEST dahi puri I’ve ever had. We had 2 plates of that alone. Very reasonable pricing. The staff is very tentative, kind, and welcoming! I highly recommend this place.“

“I had an absolutely wonderful experience! The staff was incredibly friendly, accommodating, patient, and understanding. I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner, and their late-night hours make it a perfect spot for night owls. I’d give it a 10 out of 10!“

“Food is good, but expensive for a food truck I felt, especially for Pav Bhaaji with only 1 set Pav.. Ample seating outside but on a sultry night, can be difficult. The mango lassi was tasty.
No complaints on the taste, but for the price I will rather have in a restaurant with wider choice and comfortable ambience.“

“The food was okay. It’s a good place to hang out with families and small kids, but be prepared for a very long wait. This has happened every time we’ve visited. The wait is usually at least an hour, and sometimes even after waiting that long, they let us know that the item we ordered is not available, which is very disappointing.
If you’re visiting with kids, I would recommend feeding them before you go. Overall, forget about the food and service—the place itself is a good spot to hang out with kids and families.“

“Absolutely loved the Ghee Roast Goat Pulao at Foodistan! The goat was incredibly tender, juicy, and full of flavor, and the ghee roast added a rich, aromatic taste that made the pulao really special. The rice was perfectly cooked and packed with flavor without overpowering the meat.“

“We ordered five portions of Mandi, and overall, the food was good. The Afghani Chicken Mandi and Ghee roast mutton was the best, and the Mandi rice was very flavorful. Both the chicken and mutton Mandi tasted good.
There were a couple of things that could be improved. The rice served with all five Mandi orders was cold, so we requested another plate and they provided hot rice. The paneer in the vegetarian dish also did not taste fresh—The paneer did not taste fresh and had a rubbery in texture, as if it had been frozen for a long time. It was absolutely flop and don't recommend for paneer.
We appreciated that the staff provided hot rice when we mentioned the issue. Hopefully, they can improve by serving the Mandi rice hot and using fresher paneer. Overall, the food has good flavor, especially the Afghani Chicken Mandi, but a few improvements would make the dining experience much better.“

“We had such a wonderful experience at Charminar Food Truck in Liberty Hill! We tried the Palamuru paneer pulav, street-style noodles, paneer starter, and tea. Everything was absolutely delicious. The food was fresh, flavorful, and full of authentic taste. We genuinely enjoyed every single item we ordered.
A special shoutout to Ratna, who was incredibly kind and welcoming. He even let us taste some of the food before ordering, which was such a thoughtful gesture and made our experience even better. His warm hospitality really stood out.
The tea deserves a special mention too! My husband and I are both big tea lovers, and we absolutely loved it.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience—amazing food, great flavors, and such friendly service. We’ll definitely be coming back to try more items from the menu. Highly recommend Charminar Indian Food Truck to anyone looking for delicious Indian food!“
