You won't find a better place in town.
Great food, great drafts, and great pinball! My wife and I live in Abilene and we wanted to try Flipper’s Tavern while we were in town for her uncle’s birthday. She ordered the Supersonic and I ordered the Philthy Wizard and we both got the Gouda Mac n’ Cheese for sides. All of it was very tasty 😋 and the vintage pinball machines that were made into booth tables was very clever! The playable pinball machines were also a lot of fun. Flippers Tavern offers an exciting atmosphere for pinball enthusiasts, featuring sensational furnishings, fresh draft beers, and a great beer selection. The restaurant has an excellent variety of vegan options. The food and drinks are delicious, with visitors enjoying dishes like the supersonic dog and creamy Gouda Mac and Cheese topped with crunchy fried jalapeño strips. The hot dogs are amazing, loaded and tasty, and use a huge all beef hot dog with an amazing bun. The bar experience is great with attentive and kind bartenders and cheerful servers. The atmosphere is park themed, with tables made out of pinball machines, and the place is always clean and welcoming with a great outdoor patio.
