“I went here a few months ago and got their pad Thai I think. It was DELICIOUS and very spicy which is what I like and what I asked for. I did end up having to get a bottle of water though and the owner gave me a sympathetic look and just gave it to me lmao so sweet of her. I’ll definitely be coming back.”

“Good fresh Mexican food. Ordered the Pastor Quesadilla and was not disappointed. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the portion size for the price wasn't too bad for Austin. Only downside was the tacos were missing the onions and cilantro, but had salsa to make up for it a bit. Queso dip was a great size and not too bad tasting, chips were store bought nothing special. Overall worth a try if you're in the area”

“Just completed a tour of the Central Texas Barbecue Scene. Visited Snow's BBQ-Lexington, Louie Mueller-Taylor, Kreus Market, Smitty's and Black's-Lockhart, The Salt Lick- Driftwood and Franklin's in Austin. It was great seeing the venues and the family history at these historic sites. I visited Franklin's in the past and felt it was the best brisket I had ever eaten in my life. I am a skeptic when it comes to famous barbecue joints. I must say that Franklin's BBQ was far superior to all of the restaurants I visited with no one even a close second. Aaron's attention to detail from the service, choice of briskets, the cook, the wrap, the holding and even the slicing of the final product is evident in every aspect of his trade. I was lucky enough to run into him at the restaurant and he happily talked BBQ with me. Franklin's may not have the long history of muti-generational BBQ in Central Texas, but he has figured it all out at a level that I have yet to see equaled by the best venues in the country. This is a bucket list restaurant for those who really enjoy BBQ. It is well worth the wait in line”

“A true Austin experience and the best staff, in total, that I have encountered in a long time. The staff and the retro setting set a really unique vibe in the restaurant. Food was very good with the spanish octopus and the rib eye being the highlights. Good, well selected wine list (even if markup is a little high) and a great bar program (Secret Beach on tap at a restaurant....thought I was dreaming).

Chelsea (Manager) was patient with my indoor / outdoor table change requests, despite being a very busy night. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive but not disruptive, and just plain cool....in fact I would say that about all of the serving staff.

Overall one of my best fine dining experiences in Austin. BTW, the outside patio is perfect.”

My husband brought me here for my birthday Jan 6th and I’m still thanking him. Chef Erik Trotman took care of us and the servers were on point and very attentive. “We are normal customers and love getting our Saturday ribs . Today we went For their steak night and it was beyond amazing. My husband and I shared a beautiful 2.4 lbs ribeye cooked to absolute perfection! We paired it with the best onion rings and miso glazed carrots . One of the owners also got us a burger , when I say it was the best one I have ever had it is not an exaggeration. It was the most juicy & tender burger ever . To end our night we got the cheddar cheesecake with apple butter which was a perfect combo of a savory sweet treat. We will definitely be back again and we highly recommend trying it out .”
