“Tried Beaux Southern Seafood for the first time today. I ordered the Basket with oysters and crab cakes. It came with 2 huge fluffy hush puppies, crispy fries and a fresh version of coleslaw. It was delicious and it was more than enough to feed 2 people.”

They have some of the best customer service we’ve experienced, felt from the moment you walk through the door to the time you get up to leave. Each of the server’s recommendations were delicious, especially the pretzel biscuits!

We came with our, admittedly anxious, pup. Every member of staff who interacted with her was warm and kind, and it really touched us that despite her barks they remained patient.”

“I would like to respectfully start with; I’ve been to Uchi multiple times over the years and will never forget my first experience (which will always be the best in my mind.) That being said — tonight might have been the closest to first I’ve ever had. Chance, our server was attentive, knowledgeable, easy going, brought some of the best plates when we asked “bring us what you like/anything you think we missed” literally 12/10 would recommend. Ask for Chance, he knows his shiiiiiiii* and made our night absolutely amazing and something we will never forget!”

“One of best classic spots in downtown Austin. Recommend getting a seat at the bar for great booze, food, and live jazz. We've always preferred this over their table dining, even for date nights. Loved how it's kept its local vibes through the years even though a chain now. Dishes to get: Lobster bisque, oysters, wedge salad, and accompanied by a perfect dirty ketel one dry martini.”

“Just completed a tour of the Central Texas Barbecue Scene. Visited Snow's BBQ-Lexington, Louie Mueller-Taylor, Kreus Market, Smitty's and Black's-Lockhart, The Salt Lick- Driftwood and Franklin's in Austin. It was great seeing the venues and the family history at these historic sites. I visited Franklin's in the past and felt it was the best brisket I had ever eaten in my life. I am a skeptic when it comes to famous barbecue joints. I must say that Franklin's BBQ was far superior to all of the restaurants I visited with no one even a close second. Aaron's attention to detail from the service, choice of briskets, the cook, the wrap, the holding and even the slicing of the final product is evident in every aspect of his trade. I was lucky enough to run into him at the restaurant and he happily talked BBQ with me. Franklin's may not have the long history of muti-generational BBQ in Central Texas, but he has figured it all out at a level that I have yet to see equaled by the best venues in the country. This is a bucket list restaurant for those who really enjoy BBQ. It is well worth the wait in line”

“I swung by Terry Black’s this morning to pick up a big order of barbecue to take to friends in California, because they need to know what the very best barbecue in Texas tastes like. ❤️⁣ ⁣ Chad, Sharon, and Kait were so helpful behind the counter, making sure everything was wrapped perfectly for a travel cooler and ready to survive a flight, complete with reheating instructions for when it arrived.⁣ ⁣ What really stood out, though, was the hospitality. They took the time to visit with me, answered all of my questions, and made the whole experience feel personal instead of rushed. We ended up having some great conversations, and they even let us sample a few things before we decided exactly what to order.⁣ ⁣ The food is phenomenal, but the people are what make you want to come back. Texas barbecue is about more than brisket, it’s about generosity and making people feel welcome, and this team absolutely nailed it. Can’t wait to share a little taste of Texas with my California friends.”
