“Katami is Japanese for Keepsake. What a sentimental word, and what an emotion invoking meal that was. I believe this was the best sushi I’ve had to date in my life.

The flavors were so subtle but perfectly complemented their counterparts. I was blown away by the Hokkaido Buri Yellowtail and loved the Hamachi Yuzu. Not only was the food phenomenal, the service was tip top and the restaurant elegantly designed. Lighting was perfect. Sound was balanced. You’re in for a special treat when you go to Katami.“

“Dropped by Aki Sushi & Ramen during a tournament, and wow, what a treat! The place is sparkling clean, setting the perfect vibe for a great meal. The staff was incredibly friendly, making us feel welcome with their warm service. We tried the Shaggy Dog Roll, Caterpillar Roll, Tiger Eye, Lion King, and the Happy Hour Special Wagyu Roll—every single one was a flavor explosion! Fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The Wagyu Roll was a standout, especially during happy hour. We’re already excited to come back for more. “I travel for work and spend a lot of time in Houston, which I call Sooshton, for how many wonderful sushi spots there are. I’ve been wined and dined in the best of them. There has not been an experience I’ve had that rivals the experience I had tonight at Norigami. The dishes, prepared by the chef right in front of you, are top notch, above and beyond expectations. The service is equally as phenomenal. These folks made me feel like a rockstar, heard every word I said on my preferences, and made recommendations that NEVER ONCE missed. Every cent you spend, you fully taste, and experience. I’ve not been to a restaurant where I’ve felt more relaxed, at home, and confident in what I ordered. Every morsel, every sip, every moment, was thoroughly enjoyed thanks to the unbeatable staff here. “I've been here twice in the last three weeks. My first visit was with out of town colleagues and the second visit was with my wife and another couple. Both times I was served by Jorge W. Jorge recommended the Chef Omakase where your likes, dislikes and allergies are asked, and then the chef prepares dish after dish of amazing food. The staff explains each dish including the type of fish and sauces. The specialty margarita is so good that it is hard to have just one. I've only been here on Mon & Wed, but the atmosphere was quiet. The table spacing is excellent and allows you to feel like you can have a private conversation. Overall, the food is simply fantastic, the staff is helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable, and the service is attentive, but not intrusive. If you love amazing food, excellent service, and great ambiance, then Azumi should be your next pick.“

“We’ve been back several times now—this cozy little Japanese spot is such a gem! The owner, a warm and welcoming Korean lady, always greets customers with a big smile and switches effortlessly between English, Korean, and Japanese to make everyone feel at home.

The sushi combo is an unbeatable deal, with fresh sashimi that never disappoints. Other must-try dishes include the cold tofu, potato salad, Ten Don, Japanese curry, and the weekend special: hamburger steak.

Even though it’s a bit off the beaten path, it’s absolutely worth the trip for the quality, value, and genuinely friendly atmosphere.“

“Brand new restaurant. This is a quickly growing franchise out of atlanta. It is a really unique place. They have a fusion of Asian Foods including some really fun stuff like a sushi donut, Sushi corn dog and even sushi pizza! The ramen portions are large and packed full of proteins and vegetables. You will not go away hungry. The Thai iced tea is awesome as well, like an Asian Starbucks frappuccino. The food came out really fast. They have a very easy to get to location right off the Southwest Freeway highway 6 exit ramp. They also have an awesome patio which I plan to hang out on quite a bit. They are also right next to some super popular night Hangouts, Pacific Coast tacos and Spectators Bar and Grill. This will be my new favorite hangout for a while.“

“Cute little place with some affordable Japanese food. For dine in customers, you can get access to their miso soup, corn soup, and red bean soup (dessert?), and hot tea. I liked most of the dishes the restaurant gave.

2 things to improve:

1) I did see a baby roach on the wall when I was getting tea, so they may want to investigate that…

2) I wouldn’t personally serve fish right next to or on top of my salad. We ordered the mackerel meal and the salad dressing seeped under the fish, which will change its flavor and experience of eating it. This was our least favorite dish due to this next to the chawanmushi.“

We ordered edamame, octopus, tonkotsu ramen, and California rolls, and everything was absolutely delicious. I loved that you can customize your ramen. “Sushi Masa has officially ruined all other sushi places for me. I came in for all-you-can-eat, and they said, “Bet.” Every roll tasted like it was handcrafted by a sushi wizard who took it personally if you didn’t fall in love at first bite.

I was too busy inhaling deliciousness to take pictures—so if you’re looking for Instagram content, sorry. My camera roll is just empty soy sauce packets and regret that I couldn’t eat more.
