The service for a long time was not just terrible, it was the worst!Over the past year there's been some changes made, and now I enjoy visiting this restaurant. “So the wife and I were looking for a different place to eat in Texarkana on our day of taking care of business. We had heard about this place before, but had been told by some it was meh. But we wanted to try it and after looking at their menu options and the price, we were pleasantly surprised how reasonable it was. So we traveled to this little diner and gave it a try. We were very pleased. The place looks like your old ma and pa little dives. And that's what I love. We were greeted by the nicest (but very vocal) lady. She was a hoot. We went on a Monday so we got the Monday specials. My wife got the Chicken Spaghetti and I got the Chicken Fried Steak. The specials come with potatoes and gravy, green beans and a salad, as well as a dessert options (which they have plenty of). The meal also included a drink for under $12. I will say the Chicken Fried Steak could have had more salt and might not have been as tender as I would have liked (which is why I can't give 5 stars, but it's closer to 4.5). But my wife's chicken spaghetti was excellent. The service was quick and friendly. I loved the paintings on the wall with their positive messages and I loved the antique rack with all the older items. Overall it was a good experience and we will be back. I will say it can get busy very quick and there is not a ton of seating so get there early. But either way give this place a try. You won't regret it.“

“Great place to stop for lunch on the road through Arkansas. The restaurant (including the bathrooms) is very clean and the food is hot and fresh, cooked to order with a wide variety of fried and grilled items plus vegetable sides. I got the grilled shrimp plate with beans and rice, slaw, an extra side of some mustard greens, and hushpuppies. Everything was steaming hot and very well seasoned. The coleslaw was some of the best I have ever had and all the dips/sauces are excellent. I want to try everything on their menu but sadly I was just passing through! Would go out of my way to return.“
“I thought the food was great. However, the lady taking our order seemed a bit annoyed that there were customers. She wasn't very friendly. I am hoping she just was having an off type of day. I hope this is not her attitude every day because this place has good food! The atmosphere could be better, but given this off location, it was fairly busy and very good! The ladies on the fries and cash register were very friendly! Sorry if us being from out of town annoyed anyone. Shout out to the gentleman in front of us who let us know how to get fries. Which, by the way, were fresh cut fries and awesome, especially with their special seasoning. Also, you can put as many as you want in the container.“
“I was here when just before this place opened, helping out the construction crew finish the ceiling tiles and had never heard of this place. Well since then I've been here a few times, and every time I do, I always enjoy a delicious, mouthwatering grease-dripping-burger with amazing hand cut fries and out-of-this-world original recipe seasoning from y'all! They know how to fix you up a plate and send you home napping!“
“Nice little store with courteous staff. I like that it stays open later then the others nearby like til 1am or later sometimes. He was closing down once when I pulled up he already had the lights off and the window locked, but he opened the window and took care of me anyway. I don't forget that kind of extra service. Oh and this store even has games in it.“

“This is less about the Wendy’s and more about the employees that were working tonight 12/11/23 they were phenomenal! The two girls I interacted with at the window were so polite, kind, courteous, and accommodating! They didn’t get inconvenienced when I asked for extra sauce, they weren’t quick to close the window on me (I was in drive thru) and I had ordered an extra four piece nugget and asked for ranch, but they put ranch and also a sweet and sour sauce in the bag, and I am so glad they did because it was a new discovery for me (the spicy nuggets go perfectly with sweet and sour sauce!!) it seemed like their way of recommending something different and allowed me to step outside of my comfort zone and try something unfamiliar. I only interacted with the two girls but whoever was cooking did a great job too, the burger was excellent. But I noticed the girls were collecting the nuggets and God bless them because they even threw in an extra nugget (it was the end of the night and close to closing time so I don’t want managers to be upset about this) it really made my night. After a long, tiresome day, and low on money, it was small acts like that that made all the difference. Bless them. This Wendy’s has some fantastic workers. I have been to other Wendy’s where they slam the window shut before I can say anything, roll their eyes when I stay there until they open the window again, act irritated when I ask for extra sauce and slam it into my hand, and talk to me as if I have completely inconvenienced them simply by purchasing food from the establishment. This was a refreshing experience and I hope these employees are bestowed all the best opportunities life has to offer. People don’t know how impactful simple small acts of kindness can be, especially to those having a rough day or time in life.
