“After a disappointing bowl of pho from another Viet place in town, I still was craving the comfort of a good pho broth. I walked into the place and it took me back to a memory when I was in my home country of Vietnam--The smell of cigarettes, the asian produce in cardboard boxes, and random skin care products. My pho came out less than 10 min unlike 40 min elesewhere in town and it was piping hot like it should be. The broth had the fat floating to the top which shows they used the fatty beef bones and not just MSG for flavor. They gave different cuts of meat and the traditional meatball which was a delight. I really enjoyed the pho and all the herbs they gave me and it gives me faith I can still have Viet food if I retire away from Houston. The only reason why I'm giving four stars is cause like Vietnam it isn't as cleanly which concerns me during the Covid pandemic.“

“We ate there at 12 on a Saturday and were served right away. We chose to sit outside since the weather was amazing this November afternoon. The oysters were fresh and large. We ordered a butterfly shrimp plate with fries, an oyster poboy (fried medium), and the grilled ginger shrimp plate with fried rice. Flavors were spot on!! Food was served promptly and was piping hot. Also got cold beer for an appetizer . Service was very tentative. If we are in the area again, we will definitely eat here. Even got to speak with the owners. Very friendly and nice.“

“Stopped in here on our way back from 4-H competitions, and found The Best pho we have had in a long time!!! Sometimes in Houston area they get so busy that they loose quality. Service was fantastic, family owned and operated restaurant. Grandma and aunts cooking, and the young Trans doing the service. It was refreshing to see this. Very clean and wonderful taste in music , also not too loud that you can have a conversation. Thank you for this great experience Tran family, a bit out of our way but, we'll be back.“
