“We have been eating at la Isla for 30 years. Mainly the Park Row and Cooper location and when they moved to Pantene we followed them there. We have sampled the menu widely but I am centered on the tostada de Ceviche for a start. Then the sour cream chicken enchilada plate. We love the rice and beans and I love to put some of the delicious salsa on them. My wife usually gets either the fajitas or the tacos Al carbon. The chips and salsa are great too. Moderately priced as well. Give them a try.“

The lady at the counter wasn't rude, but she took our order with no emotion or welcome greeting. We came after the lunch rush, so she probably needed time to rest. Otherwise, she got our order done.“

The plate comes with Mexican rice, refried beans, & fresh lettuce (you may exclude fresh cut tomatoes or set them aside for one) Drinks are ordered separate. We ordered Mexican cokes. They have the import labels, so you know you are getting the real deal for your bucks. Their theme is definitely San Miguel de Allende, and cultivating their roots by incorporating their culinary skills into place. The atmosphere is extremely welcoming and relaxing; they have little Mexican water decor and make you relax-sounds like a little creek if you sit by it. It’s a vibrant area. Service is great and efficient. They may seem timid at times, but I do believe many small businesses deserve to be cut some as we do for major drive-thru, & restaurants.“
