“The pupusas were on point—fresh, flavorful, and definitely the highlight of the visit. That said, they felt a bit overpriced for what you get.
What really threw me off was the tipping situation. I was prompted to tip while simply ordering takeout, and when I chose not to, the cashier seemed visibly annoyed. I believe in tipping for good service, especially when there’s actual table service or extra effort involved—but being pressured to tip for a basic to-go order didn’t sit right.
Great food, but the overall experience could be better without the awkward tipping pressure.“

They gave some really delicious food.
If you read inside, they have a chip and salsa bar with several different selections of salsa.
I really enjoy their food.

“I do recommend JJ's the food is tasty but....I walked in on a friday after work around 3:30..I always sit at the bar I was shocked to see the whole bar area was dirty and the floor was sticky! I'm a regular at this location on Tarrant Parkway and have always enjoyed the food and the margaritas....I almost turned around and walked out so disappointed! oh, one other thing, when I order food I always have to ask for silverware! I myself have worked in the food industry years ago, I do know the dirty dishes should be picked up when customers are done eating, this helps to keep the area clean even if you are busy which in this case the bar wouldn't be full of dirty dishes and I'm not exaggerating...it was the whole bar area!“

“I used Habanero’s for catering for 40 ppl my mom's 65th surprise birthday party. Although placing the order wasn't the most comforting experience, Peter defintiely made up! My order was prepared and ready for pickup as scheduled and THE FOOD was AMAZING!! Two days later the party guest were still asking me where was the food from becuase it was soooo good! Thank you Habanero’s for being great for my occasion!!“

“We had a great time here. We ordered the fajitas for two and the were great and the portion size was perfect. The side fixings were really good portions also we each got our own and the flour tortillas were awesome not the store bought stuff. We will definitely be back.“

“This our 5th time dining here. Options are endless. Amazing flavor! I’ve tried their tortas, tacos, menudo, burritos, even the wings are better than Wing Stop!! Best micheladas ever. Our favorite Mexican restaurant by far. We travel almost an hour to eat here and it never disappoints. Service is always sincerely helpful. Thank you Augie and Nicholas for making us feel welcomed.“

“Mother's Day was made even more special by choosing this place for lunch. Each lady was met with a rose and quickly shown to the table. The Staff greeted us with a big smile and seemed genuinely happy that we were there. As I had never dined there, I was Pleasantly surprised by the delicious tomatilo salsa! Our whole party loved the meal! I highly suggest the Cuca nachos. It's like potato skins and nachos met for a party!“

“Found this place on Google maps and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did this is going to be one of my regular spots from now on. The gorditas were amazing you can tell that they make the corn masa the exterior was very soft and the stews that I tried tasted like abuelita made them. And since it was my first time I also decided to try one of their breakfast burritos and I could easily see myself stopping by here every morning for one it's not one of the giant burritos you get from the taqueria, but it definitely was not a regular sized flour tortilla it's somewhere in between. I ordered it with eggs and chorizo and beans and I feel like it would be perfect for the drive to work. The people that work there make you feel at home they were just so nice. I feel like this is a little Hidden gem if you're reading this and have not tried them definitely make the drive out there and try this place out they are the definition of Mexican comfort food. I know that they make their corn tortillas there and they are a pretty good size and nice and soft add the flour tortilla for the burrito I'm pretty sure was also homemade. I will provide pictures next time that I go.“
