I'm a fan of the chips and queso and like the pork carnitas, the democrat, and their taco of the month, the vagabond. They're sold individually and one taco can be a meal all on its own. It can accommodate gluten free needs, but it can be hit or miss for me if I have a reaction after eating here. So, proceed with caution if you're celiac. My son is a fan of the trailer park trashy (NOT GF) and the hillbilly queso.“

There’s a covered walk-up bar as well as plentiful indoor seating. The food was delicious!! We ordered specialty tacos, black beans, a jalapeño margarita, pina colada, and were treated to samples of their pina colada and pork belly taco. Their chips & salsa were incredible and all of the food was fresh and made with TLC. We were treated like loyal customers and would definitely recommend this restaurant!!! “I was on my way to the sandwich shop next door to this place when a man stopped me and implored me to try the place next door because he said the food was amazing and they even do food prep for him. I had been thinking I'd try it and felt like the universe was giving me the go ahead. I had the special, which was a chicken al pastor empanada and the al pastor rice bowl. Both were fresh, well seasoned and yummy. I have been back since and find it to be affordable, truly good food. In a landscape in Ft Worth where a lot can be mediocre, this is a little gem.“

It was perfect, the tacos de pastor were impeccably flavored, the consistency of the corn tortilla was just right, and I opted for grilled onion instead of the standard chopped onion w/cilantro. The limes were fresh for squeezing, and the carne asada fries were warm, crunchy seasoned well with crema & an avocado sauce drizzle which gave them life.The woman at the register, probably the kindest woman on earth.10/10 would recommend!“

“We went to JJ's Taco Shop on N. Tarrant and Davis Friday night. Oscar was our server and he did an amazing job. He was friendly and very attentive. We shared the Cowboy Sampler. The chicken quesadillas and Taquitos were good as well as the Queso. The Steak Skewers were a little tough, but they had good flavor. My friend got the Peach Margarita and said it was very good. We also tried the Elote Cup, it was great. The atmosphere is great, a little loud in the bar area, but they have a separate room in the back that may be a little quieter if you are looking for that.
