“Super fast service unlike other competitors! I love that the curtido has a nice spice and tastes fresh. My husband isn’t a fan of it as he doesn’t like cabbage but he appreciates that they give you a spicy green salsa that he adds instead.“

“Pupusas were very very good. I was craving them for a while and gave this place a try. I'm so happy I did. The man running the register was so nice to me and even spoke English which is a plus for a white girl like me who loves pupusas :) service was kind and quick, will be back soon!“

“100% white boy here- just for context. I'm obviously not the right person to take pupusa advice from, but if you're asking in general- like is the food good? Dudes and dudettes listen up or read up I guess.... get you a couple pork/ cheese and maybe a jalapeño/ cheese (if you got hair on your external or internal peaches). It will change your life. Ask for the green sauce.“

“This is a 5 star establishment! Food is made FRESH every single day. Customer service is always amazing. The food is authentic and delicious. The horchata is great if you’re into that. People are giving this place a one star reviews because the wait time for FRESH food is somewhat long. But if it weren’t fresh then they would complain about that. Can’t ever satisfy people. Pricing is fair for the quality and service you get. Highly recommend
Parking: About 20 spaces

“The best pupusas I have ever eaten!!! ???The truth is I loved its flavor, the horchata is too similar to what is made there in El Salvador, the flavor it has is authentic, I loved the attention of the waitress, as well as the cooks, a good atmosphere, friendly and ready to serve their customers. Remembered 10/10“

“Whether you dash your food or dine in, the food is absolutely delicious ?!!! My favorite are the pupusas (all of them, fajita, revuelta, been and cheese). The platano frito and frijoles with crema is also super tasty!! The ambience at Rio Lempa is like sitting at a little restaurant in El Salvador with all of the Salvadorean brands and items. The drinks are also little taste of El Salvador with traditional aguas. Love this place! Everyone that I've ordered pupusas for, loves them too, and get turned onto their food. Definitely try it out! You will be amazed.“
“These are the best pupusas in Houston. My family love them and order them frequently. They are delicious especially the ones with cheese and chicken. They don't have as much flour as others and are filled with so much flavor. They always sell them freshly made and there is a guarantee that you will enjoy their pupusas. Thanks!“
“Everything we ordered was delicious!“
“I've been here several times and the food is always great. Real homemade pupsas and the empanadas de platano are amazing. It is in a strip center hidden behind a Popeyes so a little difficult to spot, but it has quickly become my favorite.“

“I first noticed this restaurant when it was at another location, and always wondered what "pupusas" were. Let me tell you something, RUN! don't walk to this place!
Papusas are a magical combination of puffy tortilla, meat, and cheese (and possibly other things) that are served with a cabbage type coleslaw and a tangy hot sauce that pair perfectly together.
They are a fully authentic Salvadorian restaurant. They are now thankfully at a bigger - and nicer - location, which is conveniently near the intersection of 35 and 518 across from Texas First Bank.
They are all kind, and they can COOK! I absolutely fell in love with this place, and their prices are incredible to boot.“

“I love this place! The pupusas are ?, just absolutely delicious. I've had them at places where they are really greasy, and homemade ones can be really dry. Antojitos strikes the perfect balance for the perfect pupusas every time. One thing to keep in mind is that there is a charge for card payments, so bring cash if you have it on hand.“

“I was welcomed very kindly here and the restaurant is very clean inside . I didn’t realize they have Salvadorian food, which is an added bonus for me! I ordered the breakfast with fried plantains, eggs, beans, cheese, crema. I was soooo thrilled to see that the corn tortillas were home made too. I’m only disappointed that I waited so long to try this place out. The spinach pupusa was really good too!!“
