“When you think of a donut it is hard to find shops that make them to order. The Texas size donut is about the size of a half sheet tray. I have a few favor donut places in Illinois and Indiana where I am from. But these donuts at Round Rock will give any donut place a run for their money. The manager seemed to genuinely care about our experience, talked about the menu and events coming up at the restaurant. Every dish we got was amazing as well as the basil/whiskey cocktail. Decided to speak to the manager, just to provide some feedback. We reiterated that we did not want a discount or anything, just a different server. The manager, Amby, is absolutely amazing. “We went to Gino's last night for our 10th Wedding anniversary and it was so delicious that I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. It's truly authentic Italian food. It's the perfect lightness and richness. How I felt after my meal was, Wow! THEIR SAUCES - make you not want to leave any on the plate. THE PASTA- you can tell they use high quality ingredients! Not a variety of flowers. The wine we chose was from Sicily, and perfectly paired with our meals. My son had a children's cheese pizza, and the portion size was VERY generous! For Dessert we had their Lemoncello Mascarpone and the Cannoli. The cake was so refreshing and the icing was not too much. The Cannoli was better than ice cream. It's definitely a family restaurant. You can't compare this place to anywhere else in town because it just wouldn't be fair! They're the best!“

Food came to the table super fast. Everything was fresh, crisp and delicious. Hubby got teriyaki tofu on his bowl and I got the mango. Both were very good.“

“I experienced their donuts at a Lunar New Year event at Flow Yoga. I’m not usually a donut fan, but gave these a try. They are denser than typical, much closer to the ones my mom used to make. The flavors were so good! I got the tea infused one, the black sesame seed one, the yuzu and the mandarin. They were all delicious! If you need a new donut assortment for your next gathering, get these. “This was a good place! We ordered the chicken karaage, sho-yu tonkotsu, and the mi-so-not. Our order came out about 10 seconds after we put it in. Somehow, in that time, borne the chasu in the sho-yu and the karaage were overcooked, the noodles and the broth of both noodle dishes were excellent. The sauce the karaage came with was pretty good too. The restroom was cool too. It looked like something out of a Japanese horror film in a good way. Overall, it was a pretty good experience.“

It can get really crowded inside on weekends for brunch, so I often opt for to-go or delivery on a Sunday morning, but if it’s not blazing hot they’ve got some outdoor seating. One of my Austin staples.“

“Sorry it's taken me a few days to get this review done. I'm just woken up from a tiramisu coma. I believe my wife who ordered it and Tiffany that made it are for some reason conspiring to murder me. It's been a few years since I have had the delight of eating the tiramisu from Baked and Sconed as they don't make it very often. For my birthday my wife says that she had a surprise for me and proceeds to hand me a turkey roasting pan covered in foil. It was so heavy I almost dropped it. I thought she was being cute and had packed the new wrench set that I was wanting in the pan based on the weight that can only be described as boat anchorish. As I peeled back the layer of foil, a golden glow hit me in the face. It was like the scene out of Pulp Fiction when Samuel Jackson opened the briefcase and showed Marcellus Wallace's soul. I immediately took this sacred package into the kitchen rummaged through the silverware drawer to find the biggest spoon that would fit into my mouth and began to hover over it growling and elbowing anyone that came close to me. My child wanted a bite, and I scared her off so bad that I haven't seen her in a couple days. The taste can only be described as what it must be like to have an angel take a dump directly on my tongue. It was glorious. Hats off to Tiffany for doing it right as always and for not charging extra for the forklift rental that it certainly must have taken to get it into the car.“

“We had a catered event in their private dining room for about 30 people and we were so pleased. The food and service were both great and the set up for a private event was perfect. It's hard to find a moderately priced restaurant with a really good event space and Casa Chapala worked perfectly. We will definitely use them again for any large gatherings.“
