“if you want the Texas "honky tonk" experience this is the place. the Lone Star Bar is indeed the National Bar of Texas! yes, I know Texas is a state not a nation but don't tell them that.“
“Twin Creeks is an old-school roadside dive bar just off FM 2469 in North Austin. Opening hours are around 3pm to midnight each night. They have an indoor bar and outdoor seating next to a small creek with clear water and small fish. There is an indoor and outdoor stage and pool table as well. Bartender was very friendly when we popped in for a round of beers. Interesting mix of patrons came in during the afternoon hour we were there, most wanting to enjoy the great mid spring time weather outside. Just seemed like a really good, local watering hole in North Austin, a place I'd be glad to visit regularly if we lived in the area.“

Friday is karoake with local legend spider! thursday Sunday poker and Tuesday is hang man vs the bar tender! come one come all to this local hole in the wall bar. beware once you come in you will be sucked into being a regular with the good times!“

“Very cool spot to hang out and have some drinks. Lots of games including pool, ping pong, Jenga, foosball and probably others.There's a bar but also tables to kinda hang out in, and a juke box that you can choose all kinds of music from. I was really happy with the tunes they picked out - an eclectic mix that was nice for all people in our party (all ages).They also had a nice selection of taps of beer and normal well drinks from the bar. I was from out of town and just looking for a cool place to hang and have a few drinks. This place executed that perfectly. Would definitely recommend. :)“

“Dos Hermanos has made a fantastic transformation from the old Gloria’s! With the new ownership, they’ve expanded hours to cover breakfast, lunch, and dinner – and the variety is incredible. The chicken with mushrooms is a dinner standout, with tender chicken and a creamy mushroom sauce that’s packed with flavor. The addition of a full bar is perfect for evening meals or weekend brunches – cocktails are delicious and very affordable. I always leave satisfied, and it’s become my first choice for a casual, quality meal with family or friends. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food and an inviting atmosphere!“

“It doesn’t get anymore “Texas” than Gary P. Nunn performing at Poodie’s Roadhouse. This experience was everything I wanted it to be. Great music cold beer friendly people even one of the best burgers you will ever have all in a real deal Texas Roadhouse! If we lived closer we’d be there every week! I can’t say enough good things! This was truly one of the best musical experiences I’ve ever been to! Great show! Poodie’s Roadhouse provided a great Texas experience. Special thanks to owner Sharon Burke for making our night so special! Get there in time to catch a beautiful sunset . Come hungry cause the burgers and other food is great! All of the regulars we talked to were friendly and welcoming. Put this on your list of must visits!“

“This is such a unique lakeside establishment. It's one of my favorite destinations in Austin. The food is pretty good but some dishes leave room for improvement. The flavor is there but lacks in presentation and limited ingredients. The atmosphere and service are top notch. This is definitely a whole in the wall neighborhood Vibing place but the patrons are exteremly welcoming, making you feel like you are a regular. Great family and pet friendly place to watch the sunset over the lake or throw a company party.
Kid-friendliness: Kids seem to always be welcome and loved by all. Lots of room for them to explore.
Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking and ramps indoors. Patio access is limited“

“This restaurant is wonderful- located inside the Omni resort with fantastic views of the valley and outdoors. The bar is fabulous and the food we had for the birthday party was delicious. The attendants were all very attentive. Highly recommended!
Parking: This is the Omni resort so there is plenty of parking at the garage. It’s about a 5 minute walk to the restaurant.“

“This review is for the new lunch food trailer that sells the Smash burger, French fries, smash lemonade and dessert - nice simple menu. Delightful owners, quick service and the food was fantastic! The burger is a double patty, cheese, sautéed onions, pickles and fire sauce (I ordered it on the side). You can order online, pay and pick up. Support local, this is a gem with lunch hours Tues - Sat 11 am - 2 pm.“

“The cheese enchiladas are the best we have ever had! We live out of town but visit family in Austin every few months. We always pick a day to go to Maudies in Lakeway. They are always consistently the same, always great! Also their salsa and Queso are great. Good salsa can make or break my opinion of a tex-mex restaurant.“

“Beautiful place, absolutely lovely people. Steak was velveted like Chinese take out beef, which was a bit ehh. Food seasoning was too safe and lacked flavor punch, and thats weird for TexMex ?

“Chili's Grill is a fantastic spot for a casual dining experience! I recently visited and I highly recommend get the Triple Dipper—it's the perfect way to sample a variety of appetizers, and everything was delicious. The fajita trio was another highlight; the grilled meats were juicy and flavorful, and the fresh toppings really brought it all together. The vibrant atmosphere and friendly service made the experience even better. I left satisfied and eager to return. Highly recommend!“
