“What formerly used to be Olivias. We still call it that ? Best Tex Mex food in town! Seriously, number one out of my top three. We always come here. We used to be acquainted with the old owner and the family. As it was a family owned business. Since the new owner took over, the staff and everyone is just as nice and the food is the same. Always very welcoming. Depending on the time of the day, they can get pretty busy. But if you know the times to go, you can catch them when they're not as full, If you like more of an empty, quiet atmosphere. Puffy tacos are to die for. Usually I get the no 3 (enchiladas and crispy taco plate) and ask for a puffy instead of a crispy. ? Not that there's anything wrong with a crispy. Their puffy is just amazing. The carne guisada is also sooo good. The prices are very fair. The waitresses always go above and beyond. Most of the time, we sit down, and they bring us our drinks right away, already knowing our usual drinks without having to ask. Now that's really good service. Always a pleasure. Thanks, yall!”

“Great coffee and price! We tried the PCH and the Dirty Side Car (both hot). The PCH actually had real sea salt and the Dirty Side Car had actual cinnamon. A nice touch when most places just use flavorings for these ingredients in these types of drinks!”

“What a FIND! We are visiting from NC and looking for a great local place for breakfast. The restaurant is family owned, homemade Salsa was amazing! Had scrambled chorizo and egg taco- perfect! Hubby had Mexicana plate, homemade refried beans- excellent. Homemade tortillas- the works. We will be back. Highly recommend 😊”

“Well, first time ordering via slice. Timely order is all. Just picked up our pizzas, maybe 20min ago - mine was plsin cheese, I added ($3.each) black olives and basil specifically. Trusted them, but got home, and I got green olives and no basil! Not nearly as pleased as our last eat in visit 😔 I'll check it next time b4 I lv the restaurant 😬”

“Friendly atmosphere. Beer is cheap. He only takes cash. There is no atm in the bar, but but behind the bar is a bank. He does not sell liquor, but he does allow you to take your own bottle of liquor in. There is 2 pool tables and one dart game.”

The food comes out hot, fresh, and dangerously good—like it was personally designed to test your self-control. The portions are generous in a “we don’t believe in leaving hungry” kind of way, which I fully respect but also fear.

The atmosphere is laid-back, the staff is friendly, and the menu has that perfect balance of comfort food and “why am I ordering this much?” energy. At one point I caught myself staring at my plate like it had personally challenged me.

Shorty’s doesn’t just serve food—it sets you up for success, failure, and a food coma all in the same visit. 10/10 would unbutton my jeans there again without hesitation.”

“The service was great. The food, even better. We are from Kentucky and not familiar with a lot of the dishes. Server talked ud though everything in perfect English. My Spanish is not very good. I loved this place! The breaded bacon is unlike anything I have every tried. The Churro beans were absolutely packed with flavor. Great spot.”

“We took some of our residents from Prairie Meadows Rehabilitation and Healthcare center to grab a bite to eat. The waitress was great and very attentive. We didn’t wait long for our food. Daniel did a great job on the presentation of the food and it was all absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was amazing and the music playing was not too loud to where we couldn’t hear each other. This is definitely our go to place in the future! Looking forward to a karaoke night with our residents! Thank you Addacie for your warm hospitality!”
