“Casa de Marisco is a staple in Weslaco. Don't let the name fool you. It isn't just seafood they serve here. But they have an awesome shrimp cocktail and the Tierra y Mar dishes are an awesome choice for those who want fried shrimp and fish while also hitting the spot for the chicken and beef fajitas. I always recommend it when asked for a good place to eat. This is my botana place. The botanita (for one) easily feeds 2 or 3. So much food. It's been a while since I've dined in but I see some familiar faces and they've always had great service. KEEP IT UP GUYS!!!“

“I visited today and had the worst customer service experience ever. These two girls that are together in the picture were the ones that caused the problem. I wanted to sit down with the group that I was with and they refused to let us sit together. They wanted us in separate tables when there was enough room for us on one table. They said we would be cramped and I told them that we did not mind. We were not blocking an exit or causing a safety hazard but they refused. These two girls were talking about me and making fun of the fact that I was handicap. I asked to speak to a manager. The manager came out and got a table for us that would fit us better. I told her that those two girls were very rude and we making fun of me but she did not seem to care. Her husband came from the back and told me that if I was not happy I could leave. I told him, I know I can but I wanted to bring to his attention how these girls were acting. He told me if im going to have an additude to get out of there. With the leadership this girls have it is no wonder they are giving the crappy customer service they are giving. To them I might just be one customer they will lose but if they keep treating people this way they are going to lose many customers and one day they will feel it. This place is to be our go to place every week but I will never be going back for sure.“

“All the food at Martha's is made fresh and the food servings is the biggest in RIO Grand valley TX, price of food is reasonable and there fried ice cream is so big you better have 4 people eat it, you want go wrong by eating at Martha's. Open Monday through Saturday 7am to 7 PM.“

“Food was very good. They were very busy, but the wait staff was very attentive and did very well taking care of all of the tables. Very clean restaurant and pleasant atmosphere. The Chimichanga with beef fajita was very good and cooked to perfection.“

“I love their tacos. I find them the best. They have tacos, tortas , baked potatoes, aguas frescas, frijoles charros. They are very friendly and price is reasonable.
Parking: There was a lot of space to park.

“Finally an authentic and delicious Pakistani/indian restaurant in the RGV with a Hispanic and Mediterranean twist. The service was very professional and quick. The food was fantastic! Will definitely come here again and recommend you try it!“

“My daughter and I tried Mexican Restaurant Doña Paz in Weslaco for the 1st time & it was so good! The fajitas are tender, juicy and full of flavor. The rice was moist and flavorful. The beans are good. The cheese enchiladas are light and cheesy. I can't wait to come back and try other plates. The staff are super nice and friendly.“

“Authentic-authentic-authentic!Good prices... with nice sized portions.Oxtail soup, beef tongue, etc...My favorite order, fatboy or piggy (whatever they call it) Sandwich with egg, spam, sausage, bacon, and whatever else you can think of.Great fajitas, my suegra loves the fedeo.The drive thru is a nightmare, but the food is great!I am a Vet, the owners have vets in the family. I love this little take out spot. I wish I could wave a ward and give them a great new, bigger location with a drive-thru service developed by Chick-fil-A.P. S. Every employee in the great state of Texas should be required to speak English. And yes, every Gringo migrant from the great state of Florida should be encouraged to learn Spanish if he moves to South Texas.P. P. S. You should give whoever integrated that homedepot commercial fan as a kitchen exhaust fan a bonus. /grin
Parking: Very small location, very tight parking. Be careful.
Kid-friendliness: Mainly a take out location. You probably can take small kids, I would not. I would definitely still go, but bring the food home.
Wheelchair accessibility: Flat parking, no steps, but narrow door and small dining room. Again, this is a great take out restaurant.“

“It was my first time in this place... we really liked the food, it is not 100% Mexican rather I would say it is Texan food, but very tasty... the waitress was very attentive and the restaurant is not luxurious, but it is a familiar and cozy place... all very nice“

“I ordered three tacos, my usual amount, but these were bigger than the usual ones. The server warned me :) She said the potato and egg has two eggs! Delicious food and very relaxed atmosphere. We were visiting from San Antonio and found this café near our hotel. Great find.“

“I’d have to rate it a 4 just because of how pricey it kind of is due to the portion of the food. The customer service was quick, but the food wait did take a while. Also the restroom isn’t the cleanest, and the ac wasn’t working when eating. Overall, the food was great, and the salsas as well. Now I understand why it’s always busy. I’m not really a picky person so I would most definitely return and recommend if you’re up for a quick grab!
Parking: there’s only like less than 10 parking spot available since the area does take up a drive thru and the restaurant in one.“
“Reminds me of my days when I visited Mexico and having a small Mexican store nearby is so nice. Every time I head in, all the memories of me entering a small store in Mexico hits in. From childhood snacks and drinks to delicious tortillas freshly made everyday.I usually get the Mexican brand Arizona, a small wee coke glass bottle or even chips from their nearby store, the meat market. It is so nice overall.“

“I used the drive-thru service, staff was nice. I was told to pull up to front of store and wait after I ordered, which was no problem. I ordered 2 carnita tacos on flour tortillas. They were very good. The salsa was also very good. My Coca-Cola was nice and cold. They had on music outside and it definitely gave me that good Saturday feeling. I decided to just roll down my windows and eat in my truck so I could enjoy the vibe.“
“Came pickup some tacos in my truck. Guy just opened, didn't mind waiting for some tacos. He unexpectedly walked over to inquire which tacos I wanted and brought them to me when they were ready. 5 bistek con queso 5 pastor. 19 bucks. A little too greasy and need a lil more seasoning but the flavor is there. Would visit again.“

“Mingo’s is the equivalent to eating at your tia’s house except it’s tio doing the cooking. This is definitely not a fast food restaurant. So bring your appetite and make sure you have enough time to wait for your meal to be prepared while you wait. You won’t be disappointed!“

“I WILL NEVER get shrimp cocktail at any other place except here! They have the best! Full of flavor with jumbo shrimp and avacado! Tacos are great, sea food is awesome, baked potatoes are huge, and fresh lemonade is perfect! If I could, i'd eat here twice a day every day! 5 stars, 2 thumbs up!“

This little corner joint is one of my fav and excited that something has finally made its way to our little ole corner on Mile 2 and Bus 83 .They have a place to dine in or they’ll take your order right at your car and have your food out immediately.“

“The food is good I got quesadillas and they were pretty good the cheese, the meat, and the tortillas they use for the quesadillas where all good. Most of the prices are under 20$. I will always come back to this amazing place!

“Went today 4-19-23 with my family for lunch. I’ve gone to Rene’s Restaurant in Progresso Mexico since I was practically a toddler. And I just found out on social media about this place. my family and I go to Progresso just to eat Milanesa de res @ Renes. The milanesa de res at Renés in Weslaco TASTES THE SAME! I’m so happy I found this gem! My father and brother will be coming down to the valley from work next month and we will go visit Rene’s in Weslaco! Our customer service was stupendous and the restaurant was so clean!“

“food was great, and so was the service, but Sundays are super busy, and it gets crowded due to everyone going after church and the football games. which of your a cowboys fan you'll enjoy cause they're sure to have that game on the big tv in the back.
