“Easily the best seafood I've had outside of South Padre Island. The grilled fish was a thick fillet, and teh shrimp were very large and meaty, both were very well seasoned. The sides were very good too. Fries were not too oily as I often see at other restaurants.Service was also very friendly and fast. It was a littl hard finding parking in the very small lot that was there. If it wasn't far away from me, I would probably go here once a week or even more.“
“This place is so cute! The atmosphere is very relaxing, the staff is so nice and respectful. Management is on duty and attentive. The food is great, I love coming to eat their freshly fried fish. They are very efficient in seating and serving. Everything was great, would definitely come back very soon! ??“
“I'll be honest, the food isn't to die for, but it's to live for. Lol. If you're looking for a good burger joint, Salazar is the place to go. Customer service and atmosphere were 5+ stars. Defenatly looking forwards to going back and tasting other dishes. Good job Salazars!PS: The prices were not bad at all for the amount of food. Really decent price. I saw a bad review in regards to pricing, that person is totally wrong. $25 bucks for 2 full meals and we were extra full. Cant beat that. The other day, I paid $15 at Subway for a meal.“
“This place is super chill and totally reminds me of a speakeasy. It has such a friendly and cool vibe. They have a variety of beer and wine and it's a great place to relax. It's also dog friendly which I thought was the best feature to this place. Yuma definitely approves.“
“First time coming here, food was delicious and my was server was just wonderful and attentive. I ordered the Leo special, it was picadillo with rice, beans, salad & homemade flour tortillas. Ohhhh....and the rice, I could just eat that rice all day, I loved it. Will definitely come here regularly. Highly recommended. Thank “
“Loved the food there was so much flavor the beans were amazing the tacos were perfect the tortillas were perfect and soft it was a bit of a wait but totally worth it in my opinion I got the street tacos and my girlfriend got the quesadilla the meat is perfect not too greasy done just right for the price that they sell it at definitely worth it a must try for take out in my opinion“
“Great place, delicious snacks and the ladies that serve you the snacks are really friendly. Try the agua de horchata is the best in all RGV!!!! Also try the ice cream, mexican style and totally delicious. Piece of advice, leave the diet for another meal because you'll going to want to eat everything.“
“We’ve been coming to Monterrey Cafe for many years now. There are a lot of restaurants to choose from But… we ultimately end up back here. We love the food! Not only does it taste good but the serving size is perfect. The staff always greets us with a smile even if extremely busy. My wife loves their salsa and chips and i like it all but my go to is the panchos with fajitas. Thank you Monterrey cafe for the outstanding service!!!???“
“Best flour tortillas in town! Go hungry!Food took a while to be served but for tortilla & butter got us through the wait. It was worth the wait & coffee was "coffee crazy lady" approved plus they kept filling up my cup. We need this in San Antonio. It's packed most of the time but it's worth the 20 minute wait. Best customer service in the 956 valley area #outoftown #happytummy #noralealhomeloans“
“I highly recommend their breakfast tacos especially the taco loco with egg it is so filling. If you go for lunch try the chicken fried chicken plate or their enchiladas. The homemade salad with chips and cafecito always hits the spot too. Customer service is excellent as well.“
“Reminds me of my days when I visited Mexico and having a small Mexican store nearby is so nice. Every time I head in, all the memories of me entering a small store in Mexico hits in. From childhood snacks and drinks to delicious tortillas freshly made everyday.I usually get the Mexican brand Arizona, a small wee coke glass bottle or even chips from their nearby store, the meat market. It is so nice overall.“
“The food was good but a little expensive. I could have gotten a better deal at any other taqueria. I paid $12 dollars and change for a sandwich and a drink. A taco combo with a potato, beans, and a drink is less than that at another taqueria. The service was great, though. We stopped here because we saw a lot of cars in the parking lot. When we walked in, there were only 2 other people there. We got tricked, lol. The building is kinda old. They only have one restroom for men and women.“
“First time eating here with the family and OMG!!! The food actually has FLAVOR! Do not think twice about stopping here! I rate the food a 9/10! The best part is they have Drive through and guys I was skeptical at first but take my word for it lol im a Big Girl ? ?“
“Not too crowded and is bigger than the picture show. Good and fast service and the tacos are not super greasy as other taquerias... The beans were a bit over seasoned but a bit undercooked. But again, I asked for fajita tacos and that's what I got. Meat freshly cooked and tacos not drowning in oil.I definitely recommend this place.“
“Authentic, small, drive-thru defiantly spanish only speaking wait staff. Great food and service. Nice baked goods.Parking: Covered parking between buildings and street parking is very close.Kid-friendliness: Small restaurant, small dining area, I would bring infants in off-peak hours. I do not recall a kids' menu. But friendly place special orders no issue.Wheelchair accessibility: No identified handicap parking, but level parking and no steps required for entry. No handicap identified seating, but the staff will accommodate you.“
“Food was good and affordable but the waitress was extremely rude. She had a bad attitude towards my M-I-L and myself, not bringing us a drink we ordered and much more. Overall, the atmosphere is very homey and the food is good, but the service was not it.“
“Authentic-authentic-authentic!Good prices... with nice sized portions.Oxtail soup, beef tongue, etc...My favorite order, fatboy or piggy (whatever they call it) Sandwich with egg, spam, sausage, bacon, and whatever else you can think of.Great fajitas, my suegra loves the fedeo. The drive thru is a nightmare, but the food is great!I am a Vet, the owners have vets in the family. I love this little take out spot. I wish I could wave a ward and give them a great new, bigger location with a drive-thru service developed by Chick-fil-A.P. S. Every employee in the great state of Texas should be required to speak English. And yes, every Gringo migrant from the great state of Florida should be encouraged to learn Spanish if he moves to South Texas.P. P. S. You should give whoever integrated that homedepot commercial fan as a kitchen exhaust fan a bonus. /grinParking: Very small location, very tight parking. Be careful.Kid-friendliness: Mainly a take out location. You probably can take small kids, I would not. I would definitely still go, but bring the food home.Wheelchair accessibility: Flat parking, no steps, but narrow door and small dining room. Again, this is a great take out restaurant.“
“If you're looking for authentic RGV food look no further!! They have a large breakfast menu & let you substitute items to your liking. Rosy's Tamales is super clean and welcoming. Prices are quite affordable! $ Must try their Tamales, menudo, barbacoba & most of all their fresh flour tortillas.“
“First time here, and I will say the place is located off the main streets, but the food was really good. The price was great also. There was 4 of us and the check plus tip was about 45 dollars. It might not be a fancy high dollar place, but it was well worth going to.“
