“I was in Dallas on business, staying at the Westin a few blocks away. It was my last night, I was tired, had an early flight in the morning, and just wanted a quick meal to take back to the room. A quick search showed this fried catfish spot nearby… so yeah, say less. I walked in expecting a basic neighborhood carry-out, but instead was greeted with some of the best service I’ve had in a while which was totally unexpected. It wasn’t fancy, but it was clean, comfortable, and had good music playing. It was a good vibe so decided to eat in at the bar. I didn’t catch her name but the bartender was so nice and kindly walked me through the menu. I ordered a glass of wine and the 2-piece fillet basket. Good Lord, that fish was HOT and delicious! And when I say “fillet,” I mean a full piece of fish not broken up little scraps. Two big pieces were definitely more than enough, but it was so good I ate every bite. I’ll definitely be back on my next trip and will be telling my Dallas office this is the spot! Thanks for the great experience and wishing you all the best in your new location!“

I am a first generation Texan who grew up on Louisiana fried catfish and this is the closest to Louisiana fried catfish you are going to get in Dallas. I read the menu online before I came in, so please make sure to look at the menu ahead before you arrive. There is no menu displayed on the outside wall, but you may get a peep of the menu from the counter when you order. This is not a specialized order place. It’s simple catfish steaks catfish fillets, pickles peppers and fries. Rules are not overwhelming. This place is rolling if you are picky and nitpick this is not the place for you. Mr. Blue told me what time to be back to pick up my order and as soon as I walked through the door they called my number, I waited 15 minutes. He’s senior in age been running this place for a lifetime you can tell. Be polite know what you want place your order be back on time and you will see this is really great catfish. I asked for no seasoning on my fries and In one of my baskets, I got seasoning no big deal somebody I was with loved this seasoning. Nothing to complain about. Place is cash only and they close at seven. I hope you enjoy just as much as I did. Also there is no TIP JAR if you feel like he doesn’t need your money he’s doesn’t. I drove from Richardson and my food was still hot when we got home. Enjoy!!!“

“This is a restaurant inside of a gas station. Food here is good. Service is always quick and courteous. The brisket tacos are pretty awesome. A step above for sure with the smoked brisket. They also have a loaded baked potato (done chophouse style w/ smoked meat and baked beans, etc.) that will leave you stuffed if you can eat it all. Great place to eat.“
