Out in the greater greater greater DFW area comes a recommendation for Giant Burger in Rhome (which I assume is pronounced like Rome). It’s on the side of a gas station and the burger joint wing of the building angles back and almost hides itself as if to say “if you don’t know where this place is you don’t deserve to come here.” The sign is in need of refurbishment as it was definitely a burger at one time but now all that can be made out is some lettuce and a lot of yellow that is too much to be explained as cheese or mustard. Speaking of signs, there are a lot of them in this place. And I use the term sign loosely as none of them are professionally produced. There’s one about their increasing food cost, one about being nice to the people that actually came to work, one about how fast the ice comes out of the machine, one about getting off your phone while you’re making your order… so much good stuff. The one sign they didn’t have was an OPEN sign which I would’ve appreciated because it was hard to tell. Now on to the burger. It’s a pretty thick patty that’s handmade and seasoned by someone who refuses to eat a bland burger. Seriously, the recipe on this patty was real good. It wasn’t dry but could’ve been cooked a little less in my opinion to make it more juicy. The toppings were generous but not overdone especially for such a big patty. I’m giving this one a B. The tots were perfectly cooked and I loved being offered ranch for them. Overall the service at this place was level 10 - many questions and offerings in taking our order, checking on us while eating, and (the real way to my heart) seeing if anyone was drinking tea before throwing it out. “We get delivery from the one in Rhome all the time. Only ever had one issue but the owner quickly corrected it and made it right. The pizza is great, the delivery is usually pretty fast. Only bad thing I would say is the lady that called herself manager doesn’t know how to handle herself, but again the owner corrected it and made it right and apologized.”

“So let’s just get this out of the way. Alright I couldn’t see my computer now I can write the review. It’s time to right some wrongs. This place was accused of selling rabbit in place of chicken. It’s true but it’s delicious. That is me in the picture and as you can see i had my fill. Yum time. There were several customers who didn’t move for several minutes. I sat down and enjoyed my meal ( a little raw, I hope this happens again. ) anyways upon walking to the counter i discovered everyone in the store was a mannequin, even the employee at the counter (picture I took is attached.) but yeah come here.”

Ok ..but looked around and counted 8 (EIGHT) empty, clean tables. Thought, ok, waiting for buffet to catch up, but no, only 1 person was in line there. They seated some, so we went to sit on bench area, and began to really sweat. When asked if AC wasn't working was told, "It's just the building, cause it's so hot outside". okay, we left. won't pay those prices, to be hot, no matter how good the food is. We'll go back maybe in the fall, winter, when "the building" is more bearable.”

“First time to dine here! Absolutely delicious! Started with Crab Rangoon with warm sweet dipping sauce. Fresh and delicious!!! Tried something different, the Egg Plant w/ Thai Basil for $13.75. Chose pork for protein. This dish was great. The broth is fantastic! The pork was thinly sliced. Similar to veal. Very light sauce, it was NOT tiny pieces, coated and fried. So, the small bites of eggplant, the tender juicy pork slices and the sticky white rice was great! Plus it was NOT a huge portion of carbs! I’ll be back. Small place on 156, kind of by itself. They were very busy with delivery orders. Added bonus: CLEAN BATHROOMS!!!! Support this family business!”

“Stopped by with a family member, after taking our kids to Gammil Park and we were super impressed! It’s normally a little out of the way from where we live, but we both agreed that we’d make it a point to stop in (at least) once a month. Between us, we ordered chicken Alfredo pasta, 2 pizza slices, 1 calzone, and spaghetti with meat sauce. The portions were big and each dish was so delicious! Definitely excited to go back and bring friends.”
