“The food here is amazing. You can’t go wrong with your choice. My favorite is the Sombrero Loco, but you better have a large appetite because it’s a huge serving of food. Defiant not for the weak. Roxy and her staff pour their heart and soul in the food and that’s the missing ingredient in many local restaurants. You’ll live the atmosphere, the people and most of all the food!”

“Had a great experience! Our server, Rosey, was fabulous! The food was extremely tasty. I had the chicken fried steak, loaded potato, & green beans. Rosey told us a big party had just been seated so we might want to order quickly. That was very much appreciated. I asked what the green beans had been cooked in as they were delicious. Told me it was a secret. Loved that.Will definitely go back if in Rio Grande City again.”

“I had my first taste of the Yardbird tenders yesterday at the city festival. The best tenders ever made to perfection wow. I definitely recommend them the plate was great and the tenders were pretty good size. You should definitely go get some.”

Tacos Hidalgo in Rio is a game changer. Straight up worth the drive from Roma every time. Service is on point — fast, professional, and they treat you right from the moment you walk in.

The tacos were fire, and I didn’t even have to ask for cilantro, onion, or salsa — everything came out exactly how it should. That’s real service.

The employees were kind, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Complete opposite of Tacos Elías in Roma, where the service has gotten rude and careless.

Tacos Hidalgo earned 5+ stars easy. When a spot respects you AND serves good food, that’s where you go.”

“We ordered a hamburger which the bottom bun of the burger was soggy but it was ok, red tacos were delicious they came with beans and rice but the beans were salty, and the brisket tacos they were excellent. The lady is very nice and sweet but she takes a long while to get the order done, but I don't blame her it looks like she's the only one doing everything, if your behind someone you'll have to wait for a long while for her to finish their order, and then yours, so it'd be best to call in and order in advance.”

“The food was the only thing that deserves a 5 star rating. We had breakfast. We were seated right away and the server took our order promptly. The place was decorated very simple and it was clean. The only problem is the ridiculous amount of time it took for them to bring our food. We waited for about 50 minutes. We should've left just like the table next to us did (they had been waiting an hour) but we were not familiar with any restaurants in the area and my spouse didn't want to drive around looking for another restaurant. When we asked one of the servers why they were taking so long, she smiled and said that's the way it was everywhere else. I've been to other restaurants far busier than this one and they took no longer than 30 minutes and that's because we were a party of 12. We will not be going back to this place.”

“You feel like you’re in SA when you walk into this Subway. Spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff is very genuine and friendly. Our order was made under 5 minutes and we enjoyed a lunch relaxing lunch. Maria the manager was there and was very friendly and extremely helpful. I love this Subway and the delicious food. “this morning i was studying and my damn drink fell over. the shift supervisor MARIO came to save the day. He not only helped clean my mess up, but was smiling, genuinely, about it, as if this was the greatest day of his life. THAT! boosted me up and helped me realized how much happiness were surrounded with. Its people like Mario that change the world for the better, honestly, I feel like a better person. The salsa was good and there were plenty of limones. The service was perfect, and so was the atmosphere. Next time we visit Rio Grande, we'll make sure to stop by and eat here again. We had no problem finding a parking spot and the restaurant was clean.”

“don’t usually leave review especially on fast food places I’ve always had Taco Bell (rio) I never thought anything of it. It’s just Taco Bell until today exactly 3 thirtyish. I ordered the steak burrito with the cinnamon bun rolls and a Baja blast and I had never ever had Taco Bell. those taste so good I have never been to Taco Bell like that ever in my life. I was not expecting it to be so good. The employees were so so sweet. Everybody was super nice. I got a lot of food for under $20. It was really good. They stuff the tacos was like their tacoussy It was so good”

“Ordered thru drive thru my order was wrong called and they said they would replace burgers only not the fries...spoke to Diana sent fries back burgers with cold fries not for me did keep the drink husband went to get order was wrong again the person Diana told him to check but you would think since this is the second time it would be right/wrong they put mustard on my burger again did not go back a third time did call they will replace just the burger these people”
