“Today I finally tried Layne’s, it was wonderful. The chicken is so much better than Canes or Slim Chickens. This is the best chicken I’ve had besides making homemade tenders, which is exactly what it reminded me of. The chicken was tender and the crust/batter is crispy. Will definitely return to have again. 10/10“

“Eat at this location nearly every other Friday, and it’s usually very fast, friendly and accurate. However, Friday the 10th, this was not the case. As I didn’t recognize more than two folks, I figure there are a bunch of new hires. Large fries were less than half-full, 5-count nuggets had two that were simply bread & didn’t get the requested sauces. Since we were a dine-in customer, the issues were resolved quickly and efficiently… but had I been a drive-thru order, I might not return. Luckily, I’m sure it was a fluke, and I know they usually do a lot better, so I’ll be back. This is simply a heads up for the managers that y’all weren’t on your game today. 2/10/2023 @ 1145.“

“The food came out really good fast. The restaurant was really clean. The workers were friendly especially Maria. They show they really care about satisfying their costumers and making the best quality food. I talked to Maria and she was so sweet and made the visit even better. She was welcoming, kind, and patient. It is always nice to meet someone who genuinely cares about costumers. I will definitely be coming back!“

“Southern hot chicken is not an easy find in Canada so I knew I had to try some while down south, even though it's not essentially Texan food. Glad I ended up at HCK because they do it right! I was at a fork between the chicken and waffles and the mac bowl but decided on the mac. It was such an awesome dish. The mac was thick, creamy and cheesy just the way it should be. The chicken was juicy and the sauce was flavourful. I'm usually not a fan of inventive macs because other sauces can corrupt the cheese sauce but these actually went together spectacularly. Service was fine too.“

“Ii never liked chicken salad until I ate here. I always go through the drive-thru, and the service is great. The food is superb, and fresh. The best chicken salad, and the best choice for different recipes of chicken salad.
I also love their pickles. This is high quality food at a reasonable price. Delicious!“

“I stopped by yesterday afternoon for a late lunch, and was immediately greeted. The staff was very friendly! Ashlyn was very helpful, as it was my first time in and I wasn’t sure what to get. Food was great and I really enjoyed my experience, I will be back!“

“I ordered a Box Combo and a Kids Meal to go. I'm glad they were able to replace my fries with another side of coleslaw. Employees were very nice. Since it was a to-go order, the chicken batter was a little softer than expected after sitting in its own steam for about 15-20 minutes. Having eaten at another Cane's dining in, I've tasted how uniquely crispy the batter is supposed to be. But, the food still tasted good!
Note to self: dine in next time.“

“First of all, the manager Claudia was the nicest, most attentive worker I’ve ever met. She literally made us feel like we were in a 5 star restaurant. She catered to our every need and the food was amazing too! Will DEFINITELY be coming back !!!!“
