“Love this place. My family comes here often and we love everything about it! The staff are always nice. The tables are always clean. The food is always fresh. Their esquires/elotes are legit off the cob. They don't skimp on anything. The paletas!!! Our favorite is the ferrero rocher, the strawberries with cream and horchata.“

“Being from Louisiana it was very hard to find an authentic "snowball stand". We were so excited when we came across pelicans because they're based in Louisiana and they definitely understood the snowball assignment. The flavors are there, when i say condensed milk they know what I'm talking about! They have games outside by the tables if you want to enjoy your snowball while the kids play. Also their customer service is always A1!“

“This local frozen custard shop is a hidden gem! Open until 10p on weekdays and 11p on weekends. We ordered Kelly's Favorite and the flavor of the week, Texas Peanut Butter. Loved both and can't wait to come back to try other flavors! Shop was clean and the two guys were friendly and helped with suggestions for our first visit.“

“This paleteria has one of the best menu DISPLAYS on gawd. Ive been to several paleterias that have a 'modern' slideshow on display without the option of a full menu. “Hey Sugar has a balanced mixture of older and newer types of candies, it's truly a candy haven. The employees were helpful and kind throughout my time at the store. I tried their icecream which is made in house and selected the espresso martini and toffee. They were delicious and refreshing on a hot spring day. They weren't too sweet which I appreciated. I picked up some truffles, dark sea salt caramel and dark chocolate raspberry, the truffles were yummy but pricey. I selected a couple types of gummy bears, sour apple, watermelon and blue raspberry. All three flavors were yummy and I munched on them throughout the week. They have a covered gazebo and open patio as well as an open area in the front to sit. They have stationery rides for kiddos to ride on in the front. I love checking out downtown roanoake and look forward to returning.“

There was one other shop held the number one spot for a couple of months until today. Froth Coffee & Dessert Bar is hands-down now our favorite thus far.I got a regular size blended Biscoffee with an extra shot of espresso. It’s buttery and creamy and oh-so-good! “We always get ice cream on a trip. That's our way of ending our day/trip on a sweet note. I looked up ice cream shops in stockyard and MELT ice cream popped up at the very front. Then I walked out of a chain burger store and noticed, hey, it's right across the street and people are eating ice cream in this 50 something degree weather, this must be good.I smiled at a mom walking out of the shop with her kids, and asked her if the ice cream is good. She gave me a thumbs up and said it's worth it. When we walked in the store it smelled amazing, I felt like walking into a bakery. I wanted to try out fun flavors but my kids insisted on what they know best- vanilla bean and strawberry. As a family we discuss, negotiate, and compromise. So we ordered vanilla bean and strawberry.Since we're sharing the ice cream and cone, I told myself it's okay to order 2 scoops. Vanilla on top, strawberry below, in a vanilla cone. But oh boy it was gigantic and it took the 3 of us a good 15 minutes to finish. The vanilla was surprisingly sweeter than the strawberry but I really appreciate MELT not adding too much sugar and using fresh ingredients. We can really taste the difference. We will come back when we're in the stockyard. Hopefully, the kids will at least let me try chocolate then.“

“Absolutely outstanding. I needed a last minute gift for my MIL and I live to far away to swing by her place. I simply wanted her to feel loved. All those other online order possibilities were expensive and many not available for same day delivery. I literally tripped over Tiff's treats and placed an order for the birthday box by around 9 am. The variety of cookies were warm delivered the time I picked in the early afternoon. The delivery driver had to deliver the cookies to a senior living community with several buildings to the apartment door. We called later at night my MIL and she was thrilled about the cookie delivery and mentioned they are very tasteful. Thank you Tiff's treats!“
