“Dear Diary, I found this Quaint little bar near the convention center in San Antonio off the River walk. Had me a margarita for $17 and a pretzel for $9. The margarita was one that I’d say was in my top 10, and the pretzel tasted like your normal bar food. (Nothing to write home about, basically.) I sat alone in a nearly empty bar and enjoyed my drink and pretzel with some lovely tunes. It was a good time.“

My husband and daughter shared pizza and wings and they were happy. The service was ok, but all the employees looked tired and ready for the day to end. Being from Spain and cooking paella and making tapas, the food at Toro is authentic and wonderful. I have eaten at many “Spanish” restaurants thru out the US and this has been my favorite! “This is a really neat place that I’ve heard such great things about for a few years and finally had the opportunity to try. There is indoor and outdoor seating, two bars to get a wide variety of beers and drinks, and a la tuna grill also (you can order in the grill building which also has indoor and outdoor seating or at the bar area, which is a separate but very close building). I got a fried shrimp poboy which was delicious and I would get again (the bread was too soft for an authentic poboy but nonetheless it was delicious) and my friend got a smashburger. There is a small parking lot and plenty of street parking“

“We are from NY and this was our 2nd time in SA, I met your server Ashley across the street & she informed she worked for you. We came for dinner the following evening and Ashley was 1000 amazing! I wasn’t feeling well and she treated me like a Queen. As an ex server myself I must say she was wonderful!!! Best service !! She deserves a raise !! she was perfect in every way. She was the sweetest and kindest person to us. Even got me a water to go for my upset stomach! We will definitely come again when we come back to visit! Ashley you ROCK!!!“

“The black bean burger is a great addition to their menu. We've been going here for years, the beer has always been great and so has the service. My husband has always liked their food and now that they have a more robust vegetarian option I get to enjoy coming here too!“

My first visit to Park Bar occurred on a Monday afternoon (during a holiday) with my boyfriend, and we had no trouble getting a table after placing our drink orders. They have a variety of options at Park Bar (e.g. my boyfriend ordered a lager, and I kept it simple with a fountain soda). I'm looking forward to returning to try some of their cocktails + seasonal offerings!“

“The Buckhorn Saloon and Museum is definitely a place to visit while you’re in San Antonio!! The amount of animals and artifacts on display are absolutely amazing. I’ll have to try their restaurant the next time I’m there, but overall with it being my first time visiting the Buckhorn I give it a 10/10! 😁“
