“La Canterra location. Gabriel was our server and was outstanding. His recommendations were perfect. He explained every dish he brought out. Ask for him. Being from Spain and cooking paella and making tapas, the food at Toro is authentic and wonderful. I have eaten at many “Spanish” restaurants thru out the US and this has been my favorite! “Construction makes it difficult to get to and layout is much different from fun original location. I prefer 1st location. 5 stars for that place all around.

“I found myself at the hoppy monk after a rare flash flood warning with severe thunderstorms where I took advantage of massive solar array disguised as covered parking.

I got a duchess burger (not on menu) which comprises of .25/5 patty, Romain lettuce, sautéed onions on a brioche bun. Oml was this just the most amazing burger.

Compliments to the team in the back at the hoppy monk and the bar tender on his recommendation.

“You can still smoke your cigarettes and cigars . It's quiet ,they have karaoke Friday and Saturdays ..LMAO very interesting . It's like a small town saloon feeling. They have screens to watch your fav.sports,dart board ,two pool tables or is it three ?. Nice state of the art juke box . Plenty of seats ,just a good place to go have a beer or two coming in from San Antonio and heading back way south . Also a good place to start a few drinks before going into San Antonio . And there is Hilltop bingo right next door . Wow , smoking,a bar ,and some gambling old school paper bingo . Lots of opportunities to win and then go have some drinks next door @spur 122 ,chat some more ,get some laughs with people you never met before .

“This place has good food but not very well suited for big groups as it doesn't have a lot of indoor tables. Also when we went it started raining so they shifted us to a nearby bar which was a turnoff. But the pizzas are authentic Italian and taste very good“

“To be honest, came to the Three-Legged Monkey because I loved the name then pulled up saw their logo, loved it even more. But honestly that evening they had a open mic night (I guess is what you'd call it) and the guy they had playing was AMAZING. He had his own twists on female artist songs and we even put in a request. Unfortunately he didn't have our first choice Blue October, but he did kill it with The Cure. Our bartender was super attentive, it was League night for darts so they were a little busy but not slammed to the point to where we waited a long time for our drinks. They only have one pool table which wasn't a huge deal; It was a good table. We left fairly early because we didn't want to get caught if anymore ugly thunderstorms were due to start again like there was the night before. The only bad thing is not necessarily per se their location bad even though we're following GPS. We did kind of miss the entrance twice other than that, when we're in the area again we will definitely be back as we had such a good time and hopefully that guy will be there again and have at least ONE Blue October song under his belt 🤷🏽‍♀️“
