“Bohanan’s is the last name of the chef in Owner and was established in 2002. The building itself has some great history and I believe I was told this latest one is the third owner. Everyone we met last night took such great care us.“

“Food was very good and brought with reasonable time. My family and I visited during graduation weekend, so it was reasonably busy. Trays of drinks were shattered on two separate occasions during our visit which disrupted the atmosphere but overall our server was very attentive.“

By far some of the best food we have had in a while. Complements to the chef and team. Devon was our waiter and he was great! We will be asking for him for now on when we go back. I came to outback with my family and at first asked to be seated at a table, after noticing we would be sitting in an uncomfortable position due to the walking path we asked to be seated at a booth, the young lady who seated us and another manager did not like this so this caused my 4 star review.

The food, service, and atmosphere deserves a 5 star rating. Harry was outstanding, he was on top of all the drinks and requests, he was very responsive and the whole table felt as if he was only serving our table. I will definitely be returning to this location but if harry is not my server I’ll wait for him.“

“My husband & I had a date night at Bob's Steakhouse. We made a reservation for 5pm. Upon arrival, the staff was very friendly & seated us promptly. The atmosphere was great! Our waiter was Amazing! He was very attentive, but not overbearing. From the appetizer to dessert, our food was delicious. We had Calamari as an appetizer. I ordered the Halibut & Shrimp dinner. Hubby had the Lamb. Their signature carrot is huge! Bugs Bunny would be happy. Hahahaha! For dessert, I chose the carrot cake & Hubby had the bread pudding. This us not a cheap restaurant. If youre on a strict budget, this is Not the place for you. The price point is set for an upscale restaurant & Well WORTH Every penny!!! I am excited to visit again in the future.“

“It's a loud environment, between music videos and people talking. But it's not unpleasant. The server was very friendly and checked on us often, without being intrusive. The smoked old fashioned was quite tasty. I also liked the cheese steak sandwich.“

“Audra M. was notably one of the best servers we've had in a very long time across a large variety of nicer dine-in restaurants. To begin with, we were celebrating my girlfriend's and her dad's birthday and brought a red velvet cake. Without hesitation, Audra offered to put it in the guest refrigerator while we ate. That is something NO ONE has ever done in the past. It seems relatively basic, but it opened up some table space and kept it nice and cold. Little things like that really go a long way in the service industry. She went above and beyond to make accomodations for us, keep our drinks refilled, and quick witted taking notes for our order. Obviously, that kind of job is easier when you can multitask well and memorize a lengthy list of requests. Thank you Audra for outstanding service! This is why we don't go to Texas Roadhouse anymore.“

“The service was not up to par at all, but we had one server notice this and after an hour of waiting and moving tables, Charlie came and saved us and he was amazing! Super attentive and we could tell he saw that we were being neglected. We had 2 steaks, one cooked to perfection, one cooked close but had a lot of char, but the sides were cold and the corn was completely uncooked. We split larger filets with our children and requested that but received a steak on one plate and an empty plate to cut for ourselves. Just very lackluster. The prices are super reasonable and not a huge markup on wines which is nice. Again, Charlie was awesome but not much else. There is much room for improvement at a great establishment.“

“The Barn Door is an Alamo Heights staple! Everyone that works there is extremely attentive and polite! They are the PROS when it comes to superb service and DELICIOUS steaks! They have an excellent bar selection and are known as a TOP restaurant for large get-togethers or FAMILY celebrations! Each dining room has a theme that speaks to VETERANS, ‘09er’s, and SAN ANTONIANS alike! I would say, that’s it’s just like winning the TRIPLE CROWN when it comes to Service, Food, & Atmosphere! I personally recommend the Chicken Fried Ribeye with a Loaded Baked Potato & Cheesecake for desert! P.S. the “Fool Proof” daiquiri will allow you to relax after a hard day at work!!“

“Looking for a late night dinner on a very short San Antonio visit. From the moment I called (an hour before closing) the service was outstanding. They knew my name checking in and gave us the choice of dining room or bar. We took the bar and had it to ourselves until we left. Brett was working the bar and was great at suggestions and alterations based on wife’s restrictions. Wine suggestion; great. Salted watermelon mojito; great choice. Brett was and is worth stopping in for a fabulous dinner or a couple drinks. Mix a great meal with friendly, professional service in a classy environment and how can you go wrong !?“

“This is my second time going to the palm! Both times have been during restaurant week. The service was phenomenal! Our server Natasha was AMAZING. Super sweet, attentive, and wonderful personality! The food, DELICIOUS! We had the bread basket, ceaser salad, Moscato, center cut filet, creamed spinach, and the ZEPPOLE. Everything was cooked to perfections. And the salted caramel 🤌🤌🤌“

“As of July 2025, they had some sort of water issue and their carpets got all wet. The smell of wet carpet was powerful. If you can’t stand any type of weird smell it might be hard for you to eat. The staff and food was at the same high level. You can tell the staff did their best to work around the inconvenience.“

“We went to the Saltgrass Steak House on the River walk, San Antonio over the weekend. We ask to be seated outside, river walk view. The waitress comes to our table with two plates and asks if we are waiting for two more people. We are all confused because there are four of us and we are seated at a four top, but we say no, our whole party is there. The waitress seems confused and blames the error on bad information and walks off. The waitress comes back with 2 more plates and we ask for water while we look over the drink menu. We get our waters and the waitress takes our food order and that is the last that we see of her for about an hour. Someone else brings my salad, about 15 minutes later the other 3 in my party get their salads/ soup. I waited to eat with my family. Our food comes maybe 15-20 minutes later. I ask if we can have more water because at this point we have not been able to order anything else to drink. A third person brings enough water for 2 people and is like oops let me go get another pitcher. They come back to fill the other two glasses. Then the second waiter puts a third bottle of water on our table as a just in case. At this point I have cut my steak and half of it is fat. So I ask if this is normal and he goes on about how ribeyes are the fattest piece of meat in a condescending tone. I am pointing out that this thing is 1/2 fat, I haven't eaten any at this point because it is straight fat at the top. he offers to bring me a leaner option. I should have called it here and just said no thank you, buy I went with okay. He takes my plate and I see him showing the manager. My family continues to eat, they finish their food. Our original waitress finally circles back around.... think we haven't seen this lady since she took our order and still no drinks. She leans across my husband to say that she heard what happened and was I ready to order a drink. She only acknowledges me and walks off. I look at everyone in my party and say that I guess that I am drinking alone as I'm laughing. The waitress comes back to tell me that they don't have the drink that I ordered. I name a different drink.... I am seriously thinking that she will realize her error and ask everyone in my party for their drink order. She turns and walks away again. I told me mom I feel like we are in the sixth sense movie. Only I can see the people that I am sitting with... Another 15-20 minutes goes by and she comes back and says, they didn't bring your drink? I say no, they didn't, you can cancel my drink and food at this point. It has been over 40 minutes since the second person took my plate away, my family finished eating a long time ago. She goes to the bar and grabs my drink, comes between me and my husband, sets it down and says well at least you'll get something. My mom's jaw drops and she repeats the waitress out of pure shock. I just want to leave at this point. She does bring my food in a to go bag. She also brings the to go box for my mom, but gives it to me. Again, they are invisible. The waitress then attempts to explain our bill to my husband... we removed a steak, added a steak and drink. Oops, wrong bill. Let's try that again, nevermind right bill. My husband is always zen so he just wanted to leave too. I felt terrible because it was my birthday dinner. I picked the restaurant and while the entire interaction was entertaining, my husband was feeling like it ruined my birthday dinner. I ate my steak in bed at the hotel.“

“We love going to the location on Zarzamora & 35 because of the excellent service we continue to receive. First, Johnny, who is on the management side of things, always comes around to make sure our visit is going well. He really makes us feel at home and like we're more like family. Thank you, Johnny, for your hospitality. It goes a long way! Alysia and Lex are two of our favorite bartenders! Alysia's drinks are amazing, no matter what she makes you. Lex also provides us with excellent service. This is just a small fraction of the team at Longhorn, and it seems Johnny is first leading by example because each time we've gone, we are always treated absolutely great! “My wife and I enjoy high quality culinary experiences. When I first saw the restaurant it was appealing but not overwhelming. My wife and I shared the Tuscan ribeye, bolognese, and salad. I will say an absolute 5 star experience!! The quality of the cook on each item was superb. Pairings were phenomenal, would absolutely come again. Chef Dady owns numerous restaurants and we have never been disappointed by his expertise.“
