“Came into Johnny Rockets at the San Marcos Outlets and it was empty, which meant no wait at all. The food was fresh and came out quickly — burger, fries, and shake were all on point. The waiter was really nice and made the experience even better.

“Excellent Thai food! Hidden gem in an Asian market in a strip center. Tiny market with maybe 10 cafe tables on one side. We got the green curry and num yue beef salad. Fresh cooked, wonderful flavors. There was a full house by the time we left.“

“Food was absolutely delicious. The beans and rice were actually great, and I seldom say that. The mole was also pretty good. My family enjoyed their tacos, pancakes, and enchiladas, and the chips and salsa were great.

Our server, Jasmine, looked like maybe she wasn’t having her best day. She didn’t seem to have many other tables that we could see, but we still had to ask for refills of drinks from other servers. Once the food came out, she disappeared.

But despite the off service, the food was def good enough to go back again.“

“Sunny’s is probably the most underrated pizza in San Marcos! They serve a carry-out-only light, thin, and crispy pie covered in sauce and cheese that’s great with or without toppings. Very crushable and doesn’t leave you feeling slow and tired. It’s a Chicago Tavern-style pizza not to be confused with Chicago Deep Dish. Hard not to recommend especially if you’re looking for something new.“

Everything was made well. The beans were pretty good, a little spicy but I like spice. Not so much where it's uncomfortable but just enough to give it a nice flavor. The atmosphere was pretty good. Not so loud that you couldn't enjoy a good meal and a nice conversation with family and friends. There wasn't a long wait and we went around 2pm. They pretty much got us seated as soon as we walked in with a party of 5. I definitely recommend eating here. We didn't pay the bill this time around but from the menu prices range between $15-$30.“

“This is a lovely little place. Just a charming rustic cafe, but the food is so so good! Get the Migas and the Chicken Fried Steak! There is so much flavor without one thing being overwhelming! The gravy is also phenomenal and I'm not usually a gravy fan. The Salted Caramel Cheesecake was delicious as was the Peanut Butter Pie. The servings were generous and the service was kind, sweet, ans swift. It was a lovely experience!“

The rice and beans were horrible - NO flavor, portion is ridiculously teeny tiny, beans were watery. NEVER GOING BACK! THIS IS THE 2ND TIME, 2ND LOCATION, FOR THIS UNNACCEPTABLE HORRIBLE FOOD.“
