“This is a Kroger. I've been visiting the Houston area for over a decade, and I've seen a few of these. As grocery stores in Texas go, it's solid: Clean and bright and the staff seemed pretty on top of things. They had just about everything we were looking for (including the chili crisp that our Texas fam had never tried) and a decent selection of ribs. Their Easter section was a little picked over, but overall not bad. The produce was solid enough, the checkout lady was super nice, and I love that they have Boars Head meat at the deli counter. Be aware though, if you don't specifically ask them to slice your turkey or ham or whatever thin, you're going to get the thickest cold cuts you've ever had. Or, the thickest cold cuts I've ever had. Maybe that's how you all do it down here, but you're doing it wrong, just like how you pronounce the name of your city. It's HOW-STON.“

“Just loved this place! I've been Gluten & Dairy Free for over a year, also really mainly eating whole foods & unrefined sugars to help with an IBD and this bakery was such a blessing! We got a cake here for my Mother-In-Laws birthday (vanilla, with strawberry filling and a chocolate drizzle) it was DELCIOUS, so amazingly textured, sweet and light! My husband and MIL are not GF/DF and also loved the cake. Jodie was responsive in answering my questions and helpful during the ordering process. There's so much flexibility with custom cakes! “Yall.... BLISS BAKERY has hit another homerun with their breakfast.The blueberry danish is a perfect blend of sweet blueberry, tangy cream cheese and zesty lemon. I think i could eat like 10 of them. It has a great cruch and then soft center.The Chocolate Croissant had the same initial cruchyness and pillowy soft goodness with the added plus of some good quality dark chocolate. The amount of chocolate is perfectly in balance with the croissant. I always hesitate on chocolate croissant because I never feel like there is enough chocolate. Their's was perfect; chocolate in every bite, all the way to the ends.The breakfast tacos are good. The tortillas look to be home made and taste really good. The eggs are soft and not cooked into oblivion. I am a bacon girl (the bacon was great) but did try the sausage. Its a little breakfast sausagey for me (cuz duh, its breakfast sausage) but my co-worker said the sausage was perfect and tasted high quality, not gritty or gristly.The plain croissant is a perfect balance of crispy cruchy outside and (not to over use... but.... if it fits) pillowy soft and buttery inside. Utter perfection. I am looking forward to bacon and eggs on one of those.I did not get to try the almond croissant or brioche cinnamon roll because, like the great guys they are, are fixing a couple things they felt did not live up to thier expected quality, which I appriciate about them.So, as a replacement I grabbed a couple strawberry and cream muffnuts... I am always hesitant for strawberry flavored items because usually they taste fake to me.. but in true Bliss Bakery fashion these taste like real strawberry. There is real strawberry in them and they are amazing.The plain, black, drip coffee is good and strong.Their cheesecakes are among the best in the area and their grilled cheese sandwiches at luch are phenomenal. Give the Apple Bottom Brie a try even if you are hesitant. It is really good. My favorite is the club grilled cheese.For real yall. Run over and give them a try. I cannot recommend these guys enough. Their food is always good, they use high quality ingredients, and are two of the nicest guys on the planet. I got $20 worth of pan dulce while at the other locations for the same items it’s $14-$15 including bolillos.Speaking of cookies, I got two macadamia nut cookies and both were hard. Made me think they were not fresh.Got two different empanadas and they could use more stuffing.Unfortunately I have more cons than pros but I mean no harm. “I don't order cakes very often but Fiona's is alway my go to when I do!! Wanted an elegant and delicious cake for my daughter's 40th birthday brunch celebration! I ordered it Wednesday and picked it up Saturday. They saran wrapped the open box (because of the fondant bow) and told me how to store it (fridge) until we cut it on Sunday. They worked with me and created a perfect cake! Vanilla/almond cake with raspberry filling and a not too sweet buttercream frosting. Everyone raved about how beautiful it was and once they tasted it, the compliments kept coming!! Served 15 generous slices and had about 4 slices left. Smaller slices could have served up to 25 I think. Thank you and will use Fiona's again!“

“Today was our 1st visit and we will be back! I was in search of another local coffee shop for me and my oldest child (11) to get a change of scenery for her homeschool time, and my remote job. We live in Friendswood, this was an easy 20 minute drive. Very nice, quaint location in the heart of Pasadena; generous portion sizes on the food offerings. We both had an iced latte and she enjoyed the chocolate chip banana nut muffin - she was impressed it was fresh pieces of banana. The chorizo breakfast taco was so flavorful and well seasoned, we ended up purchasing a 2nd one. The two baristas on staff were kind and helpful and treated my daughter like an adult customer - engaging with her and calling her ma’am. She even wanted to thank them personally before we left for their great customer service. We visited for nearly 2 hours and it was a lovely escape. I know where to go now when we need another midweek change of pace.“
