They are so kind and sweet and a couple of them know a little English as I do Spanish. This place used to see me EVERY DAY when I lived in that area back then. “Warm hot chocolate chip cookie are amazing never disappoint. Love trying the other flavors as well, some are too sweet for my taste but I don’t regret having a taste. My coworkers and I love getting a pack of 6 and cutting the cookies into bite size for everyone to try. They are big cookies!“

Loved the fact that the drinks weren’t overly sweet.We had the Chicken Banh Mi, Pork Banh Mi, spring roll, the Pink Lady Lemonade and the Detox Mint Green Tea. The owner said the desserts were seasonal, but if you get a chance try the coconut mini cake (white) pr the banana/sesame (yellow) one.“

Another pro is that this is a family owned business. We should support them the best way we can. But.Cons - the prices are a bit high compared to Bolillo and tepa. The cookies are also smaller in size. I got $20 worth of pan dulce while at the other locations for the same items it’s $14-$15 including bolillos.Speaking of cookies, I got two macadamia nut cookies and both were hard. Made me think they were not fresh.Got two different empanadas and they could use more stuffing.Unfortunately I have more cons than pros but I mean no harm. “It was my first time here while visiting Houston and I was so impressed!!! I ordered the fire in the hole burger, it was extremely delicious!!! The food is never frozen and the taste shows that to be true. The ingredients definitely consist of Love which is always a necessary ingredient. The atmosphere has a very homey feel to it. It is family owned and I can tell they have passion in their kitchen. Thank you so much for having me and for the outstanding experience!!!“

“We've been going to this bakery for years and everything is absolutely delicious. One of my favorites things are the conchas and cuernos. And other great part of this bakery is that it is always clean and organized and the service is outstanding.“

“It is indeed a hidden gem.I got the chilaquiles rojos with Guisado de Pollo. It had a great taste, spicy indeed. My only complaining was that it is only Chilaquiles and beans, anything extra it’s more.The Machacado was also delicious. Would have been nice if there were more sides included, as well for the tortilla to be homemade.The desserts looked delicious! We did end up getting 2 bread, it was good. Tasted like any bread at the bakery.Would definitely come back to try other stuff.“

“By far the most friendly counter tenant I've ever come across. Her positivity and joy bled and caused me to smile at 4 o'clock in the morning. Donuts were also really good. Tenant offered to stuff my eclair with filling was the cherry on top.“

“We stopped in as part of the Jingle in the City Home Tour where they had free hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was good and all the treats we just had to get were good as well. I had to get a brownie which was pretty big. I don't know who they think can eat a brownie like that in one sitting (it's me), but you can give it a try.“

When the food arrived, it was still HOT and it tasted as if it was literally made when I ordered it. The Pupusas revueltas were good, but the chicharron con queso were even better. My favorite dish though was the chicken tamal. It's hard for me to find a good salvi tamal that tastes fresh and delicious. I've tried a ton of different restaurants so I can definitely taste when they've been thawed and reheated. That was not the case with this place. FRESH! FRESH! FRESH! “This was our first time getting donuts in the eat end and to be honest this place was amazing! They are very sweet and welcoming we had a dozen donuts; they were fresh, yummy and my 4 year old ate all of it not just the chocolate part. He loved them ?? the kolaches were great & the ham egg and cheese croissant as well . There vanilla iced coffee was also amazing ?? 5 starts hands down better than Shipley ‘s . “this is one of my favorite bakeries in the world. I have tried a lot of different bakeries in the Houston area this year recently. I would highly recommend the Jell-O and their cookies because they are so pretty. I love how nice the employees are and I feel like a very respected customer even on my first time there.I definitely want to keep coming back and if you live around here, I think you need to be a regular. This place is miles away from where I live in and I wish there was one near me.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options like cakes, donuts, bread, etc.Parking: TONS of space its awesome this place needs to be more busy in my opinion“

“My go to place for cupcakes. My family and I have been visiting throughout the years (since original location) and have tasted practically every flavor that they have to offer. Service is okay- sometimes they are friendly and other times they seem like they want to get you in and out.“

“This is the best Kolache factory I have ever been too. I stopped here today during spring break on the way yo Sylvan Beach and the man an woman working there aroun 1:49pm were so kind, patient, and helpful. The kolaches fresh and they heated them up for us. Will definately make stopping here a tradition.?“

“I came here expecting to get breakfast, but found out they don't serve breakfast. That's ok because I got the French Dip with potato salad. When I tell you I have never had a better sandwich in my life, I'm not exaggerating! I have been to many places in this world and this sandwich was hands down just amazing! The potato salad was also some of the best I've ever had! Even though I didn't get what I was expecting, I was so happy to be surprised with this delight! I'll be a regular when I come to Houston!!“

“Today was our 1st visit and we will be back! I was in search of another local coffee shop for me and my oldest child (11) to get a change of scenery for her homeschool time, and my remote job. We live in Friendswood, this was an easy 20 minute drive. Very nice, quaint location in the heart of Pasadena; generous portion sizes on the food offerings. We both had an iced latte and she enjoyed the chocolate chip banana nut muffin - she was impressed it was fresh pieces of banana. The chorizo breakfast taco was so flavorful and well seasoned, we ended up purchasing a 2nd one. The two baristas on staff were kind and helpful and treated my daughter like an adult customer - engaging with her and calling her ma’am. She even wanted to thank them personally before we left for their great customer service. We visited for nearly 2 hours and it was a lovely escape. I know where to go now when we need another midweek change of pace.“

“The shop is cute and inviting. The staff was wonderful and I can't complain because the ones at heb and kroger are rude and the cakes aren't that good. We ordered for a next-day birthday party and it was ready on time. The cakes are more on the simpler side however I prefer it that way. The icing is way too sweet, however you can choose a lighter option. This is definitely our new go-to spot for birthdays/events.“

“My favorite thing is the iced coffee! It is so strong & sweet. The coffee has me going all day non stop. I’ll get it when I am so tired and know I will struggle getting anything done and will be miserable all day. The bread on the kolaches is the best. I also love the ham, egg, and cheese croissants.“

“I've been coming here since it opened! My favorite are the cream cheese danishes or the jolly peno pops. They're everything you'd want in a jalapeño popper, made into a kolache! I just wish they'd bring back the breakfast tacos, but no complaints here. I love this place!“

“Lots of Mexican sweet breads! Also cakes are available to be order for birthdays and other events. Limited grocery's available, more of a quick run instead of going to a big store. They also have fresh breakfast breads available in the mornings.“

They were so accommodating and offered suggestions. They even sent photos of the finished product! I was blown away...BEAUTIFUL and so reasonably priced!“
