I live out of town currently and I ordered a pie for delivery online and I messed up not only the delivery time but forgot to add a note for the recipient. Completely my mistake. “This was my first time visiting a Ukrainian bakery, and what a treat it was! A classmate recommended Pashina, and before long, the whole class wanted to check it out—and we’re so glad we did.

We had a wonderful time chatting and enjoying some of the cakes. I believe we tried the Napoleon, Lemon Raspberry, and Double Brownie with Cherry. My favorite was the Napoleon cake: flaky, creamy, layered, and not overly sweet. It even reminded me a bit of baklava. I’d highly recommend the Napoleon cake for a birthday or any special celebration!

Parking: There’s parking in front of the bakery, along the side by the street, and in the lot behind the building, so finding a spot was easy.

Seating: The bakery is small and quaint, which adds to its charm, but seating is limited. There’s a small table with a few chairs and a cozy little nook by the window—perfect for enjoying your treats and catching up with friends.

Overall, Pashina was a delightful experience, and I’m so happy I got to try something new. I’ll definitely be back to sample more of their pastries and cakes! Thank you for having us!“

Today was my son’s last day of preschool and he wanted to try the new Banana Nutella flavor! So I ordered one for him and two vanilla cakes for his bus drivers :). When the Order was delivered, They didn’t put his banana nutella in the bag and instead put strawberry cheesecake, which sadly, my son is allergic to strawberries :(! “When you have Celiac, you are constantly reading labels, prechecking restaurants, and going without. Or being heavily disappointed with the substitution. It was so nice to walk into a place that was 100% safe. The staff was was so nice and the choices were incredible. “Living in the Panhandle of Texas, finding a good TexCzech kolache is next to impossible. I don't mean klobasniky (sausage roll), they are everywhere. If you find yourself in San Antonio, however, may I recommend to you the Kolache Stop, east of I-10 on Huebner. Great selection of delicious–and authentic–kolaches in a welcoming and comfortable establishment. We were greeted kindly and given not only what we came in wanting, but also some excellent suggestions that we were glad to take. Kolache Stop makes kolaches with standard poppy seed, cream cheese, and fruit fillings (my favorite is the apricot!) as well as fruit and cream cheese and (my wife's favorite) nutella and cream cheese. Every variety we tried was delicious. In addition, they make breakfast and dinner kolaches that are worth your trip in. The egg, bacon, and cheese I had was well seasoned and fit the bill for a quick breakfast before we hit the road back to the West Texas plains. And, if you want klobasniky, they've got them, too. 😄 Bottom line, head to the kolache stop and get your kolache cravings filled.“

I reached out just one day before his birthday, and she not only took my order but created the most amazing cake. The details were perfect and my son was so excited when he saw it. I decided on a Tomato Basil scone, a brown butter chocolate chip cookie, and, thanks to Heather helping me narrow it down, a loaf of asiago & pepper. The scone did not last the 5 minute drive home. The cookie was warmed in the microwave for maybe 10 seconds and then devoured. These will be the things I crave when the bakery is closed! Just phenomenal! NOW....a little different review. The managers and employees are pleasant, nice and forever greeting with a beautiful smile. The Turkey Italian Sandwich on Honey wheat is so healthy and freshly prepared by gentlemen who are clean and precised. The Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and muffins are deliciously fresh. If you want fresh "healthy"eating & Non Covid crowded atmosphere then I suggests Broadway Daily Bread. “For several years I have purchased cheesecakes from the bakery for my youngest daughter’s birthday. She loves the taste of the Old Fashioned original cheesecake. The storefront is a no frills no nonsense setting. This is because the bakery is a commercial operation. They supply their tasty treats to numerous restaurants in the San Antonio and Austin area, but they make time to serve the private customer as well. Just understand that they are a commercial operation. But believe me when I say the tasty treats are worth the trip over into the business park where they are located.“

“Used them for a teacher luncheon and they delivered to our school. The elevator was broken and the two ladies carried trays and huge coolers up 2 high flights of stairs at least 7 times up and down. I get exhausted going up once. They had the most pleasant attitude.The food was delicious and the presentation of the trays and warmers was perfect! We’ve had Crumbl and Dirty Dough and honestly have felt they are nothing to write home about (lol), just overly sweet cookies in various and indulgent flavors. I wouldn’t go out of my way to get cookies from either of these places. TCS was delicious, the butter pecan was the perfect balance of sweet and salty and the oatmeal cookie was equally as good! We got 1/2 dz so we could share with my kiddos and everyone enjoyed them!!! We will definitely be back!“
