“Finally got to check out Excalibur brewing in old town spring last night. Had the best girls night. I was surprised at how many gluten free flavored seltzer’s options there were for me! Lots of creative brews of beer for the rest. I highly recommend the spicy cucumber seltzer…. A lil spice with just the right kick.“
“What a great little brewery and tap room! I'll admit, I was a little saddened that they didn't have any porters or stouts. But they do have several other higher ABV offerings and some very flavorful light colored beers. The tap room is very well designed and looks like it is a historical renovation, even though it is clear that they expertly weaved modern amenities (like a flat screen tv) into historical details. Shawn (Sean?) was tending bar and he was excellent. Service with a smile, happy to answer questions, and he did an excellent job taking care of all the customers, despite being alone in the room that day. The food offerings were a little disappointing. But considering they're pre-made and there is no real kitchen, they were better than expected. All in all, loved the place, looking forward to returning.“
“Second year stopping in to see the people at CopperHead Brewing.Beers....plain and simple, excellent. Wide range of choices that suit anyone coming in, but really, it's the true craft beers that they excel at. The heavier hitters are just great!! Clocking in at anywhere from 10.5% for the Black Venom stout or the Medusa Quad, to the varying Barrel Aged beers they have. Excellent beers!!Food is available outside. Saw some come in and there was a good portion on the plates. Just haven't tried it.Hours are the thing I had an issue with, and I get it that maybe they want to keep it small as they are open 4-7PM Tuesday through Friday and then Noon-8 on Saturday. it's the Friday night I can't understand. But again, this isn't a bar that caters to college kids looking to get drunk cheap. Beers are good priced, especially for what you're getting!!To go is good. Solid selection of beers, but it does hurt that what's on tap isn't always what's in bottles. I talked with the brewer last year and he said they like to keep it small and coordinate releases with people on mailing list as it ensures everyone gets something instead of dropping a keg in and having it go in a day because people are doing growlers, etc.Overall, great place and anytime I am in the area, that's one of my first stops!!“
“This is our first time at this spot ! The food from the trucks are all amazing. Raise Pizza really made a difference and stood out the most to us. Not only did they communicate with us while our food took a little longer than expected ,but they went the extra mile and made the best /most fresh pizza I have ever had. To top it all off the staff was so kind and brought our food to us with a sweet treat for my 4year old daughter to enjoy! We will most definitely be back!“
“Fortress is a little out of the way for me, but I would make the trekk out there again. I liked their IPA, they had big tv's to watch some football, and the food truck that looks to be there permantly; provided for some tasty pizza.Apparently they sometimes have some live music too, on certain days. The funcky metal artwork is a nice touch too. You can muse over the art pieces while sipping on your brew. Slurp slurp burrp.“
“Love this place! Food is great but, that's just an added bonus. Beer is fabulous! Great atmosphere and location as well. Staff all very well informed when inquiring about both their beer offerings and food. Great to see a local business partnering with other small business owners/vendors. “My wife and I decided to go out for a late dinner. The atmosphere, the food and the service were outstanding. Robert was our waiter and he is very attentive without being intrusive. Our drinks were always full and food came right on schedule without anything feeling rushed.Parking: Well lit plenty of parking.“
