“It doesn’t get anymore “Texas” than Gary P. Nunn performing at Poodie’s Roadhouse. This experience was everything I wanted it to be. Great music cold beer friendly people even one of the best burgers you will ever have all in a real deal Texas Roadhouse! If we lived closer we’d be there every week! I can’t say enough good things! This was truly one of the best musical experiences I’ve ever been to! Great show! Poodie’s Roadhouse provided a great Texas experience. Special thanks to owner Sharon Burke for making our night so special! Get there in time to catch a beautiful sunset . Come hungry cause the burgers and other food is great! All of the regulars we talked to were friendly and welcoming. Put this on your list of must visits!“

“Their J5 Smashburger truck is open during lunch only and is truly one of the best smashburgers around. Their matchstick fries are garlicky and perfectly crisp. It cost less than fast food and unbeatable quality…also the friendliest people. Need to make sure they have reason to keep this lunch service going! Check em out! They don’t have a separate listing for the truck and it’s hours so just call the regular number for a carry out order, or stop by between 11-2 most days. 10/10“

“This Chilis is magical. Right up there with 45th and Lamar. My friend group makes a pilgrimage here every year after we walk the Marble Falls trail of lights, and we often roll in with a party of 15-20 people late at night. The staff here are always accommodating, fun, and quick. I wish I could remember the names of all of our servers over the years, because each one has been so helpful and memorable in our yearly tradition. This past year our server even moved 3 tables together to form a massive square in the middle of the dining room. I legitimately have never seen such dedication to making sure we had a great time.

The magic doesn't stop with the service. Just like 45th and Lamar, they must be sprinkling pixie dust on this food. Or maybe I'm just always hungry. Either way, the food always slaps and comes out quick. You can't go wrong with a 3-for-me, and it tastes even better with a lake view.

Chilis on the lake is truly an experience I'd drive an hour for. 10/10 no notes.“
