The Sea Moss Curl & Lock Jelly is nice too. The curl Jelly worked better for my hair texture when my hair is slightly wet. Now I can't wait to try the Purification Herbs. So if you're interested in improving your health, you should try their natural products.“

I have since ordered a 7day cleanse which came the a clear set of instructions for the regimen which worked well to kickstart my body. “Sweet!! Munchies and drinks“

“They didn't make my order. Said they couldn't make the sandwich after saying they were working on the order. I had waited a half hour before even being told. They had said they were working on my order when I got there. I asked for reimbursement since the sandwich couldn't be made. They hadn't even started the smoothie and I had to get to an appointment. They said couldn't reimburse me because I ordered online. I called customer service who told me all they can do is submit a claim. This was two weeks ago and customer service still says there's nothing they can do. They have done what they can. I find it unethical that tropical smoothie doesn't have a way to pay back people who order online if the order can't be fulfilled. How long does one have to wait for whomever to decide if I'm telling the truth? Knowing that there are no guarantees on getting our money back when ordering online is disappointing and I think it's unethical to keep my money. I will never eat tropical smoothie again because there are no guarantees or protection for the consumer or their money.“

“This place has potential. The acai base was very good, but the toppings (almonds and granola) were not fresh. Also, it's quite expensive. $1 per topping?? I've seen another model where you pay a flat amount and get as many toppings as you want. I love acai but have to decide how often I'm willing to pay $16 for a bowl. I don't pay that much for a meal at a fast food restaurant. The young man that helped me was nice enough, but was super unenthusiastic about being there.“

“The Baker’s Son opened in Kissimmee, FL. I was able to go to there soft opening 12/4/2025. The Filipino Baked goods are fresh, and they have a variety to choose from. I tried a couple, and loved the savory chicken filled siopao and chicken filled pandesal. The Filipino dessert baked goods were delicious too. All made fresh out of the oven. They have a cafe in the bakery that I did not get a chance to try yet, but will go with my husband and kids in the future.“

They were both really good except for some of the pieces of rice were under cooked. Other than that I would still go back to try another flavored drink and maybe get it with oat to try something different.“

I absolutely love cookie butter, with Lotus being my fav and this was very similar to their very own if not the same. I went on Friday and again on Saturday, but took my daughter and niece with me. “Visited for the first time today and had an incredible experience. I wish I could rate it even higher because everything from the service to the drinks to the Cajun fries was top-notch. The sauces and spices on the fries were perfect, the drinks were perfectly sweetened and with generous amounts of tapioca, all reasonably priced. As a picky person, I had some special requests like less strong flavors for the latte that I got and the incredibly nice owner accommodated all of them. “Great location, across from Royal Oak. One of Houston's finest gated community. This cute restaurant have some of the prettiest dishes, not only delicious but affordable. Modern decor, clean and parking is spacious. I would recommend this chic restaurant in a heart beat! Unlike those Asian restaurants in or near Chinatown, lol. You don't need to fight for parking or risks someone running into you or your car. 🥂“

“I walked into Smoothie King expecting a regular morning stop, but I ended up having one of the most unexpectedly fun and uplifting experiences I’ve ever had in any smoothie shop.

When I came in, one of the guys behind the counter was singing and looking at his phone like he was doing karaoke. I asked him, “Are you doing karaoke?” and he said yes — so naturally I told him, “Well let me sing it with you!” He pulled up the song, and luckily there were no other customers at the moment, so we actually karaoke’d together and sang a couple of verses of “Hey, Soul Sister.” It was the funniest, most wholesome start to my day.

After that, I ordered my smoothie, and he went out of his way to make sure I wasn’t overpaying. He explained a cheaper way to order the same thing and saved me money without me even asking. That alone deserves five stars.

He made my smoothie and my avocado toast with so much care. When he handed them to me, he had written “Hey Soul Sister, enjoy!” on my smoothie cup and “Stay awesome – Yingul” on my avocado toast container. That personal touch meant a lot. He also complimented my glasses and my personality, and we had a great conversation about where he’s from and his style. He was genuinely personable — the kind of energy you don’t forget.

The store itself was spotless. Both gentlemen behind the counter had gloves on, everything looked clean, and the whole place felt well-kept and welcoming.

I want to challenge more people to be open, be personable, and maybe even ask Yingul to karaoke with them before he makes their smoothie. I came in for a drink, but I left with a smile, a great start to my day, and a reminder that kindness and fun can show up anywhere.

“This place is a lot of fun! They have a solid variety of harder to find tropical fruits at low-to-market prices. They also serve drinks, smoothies, and various dessert cups. The menu is large and I've read that it can be a bit hit or miss, but we were completely satisfied with our choices. Super refreshing. Excellent stop on a warm day.

A few of the fruits on sale were clearly past their prime, though this isn't unusual for a place that sells exotic fruit, so it is what it is. In my experience, it's actually more unusual when most of the fruits are reasonably ripe, which was the case here. Overall, I'd say that they do a good job of stocking a solid range of interesting and high quality fruit, but if you're trying something new, it wouldn't hurt to ask Google how to tell if it's ripe.

One last thing I'll note that this is a tiny shop with a LOT of durian in it, so if you're someone who is put off by the smell of durian, you may struggle here. 🤣 But on the flipside, if you're someone who loves durian, you've come to the right place. The drinks etc. are to go, anyway.“

From my recollection growing up here, when they arrived they were the first to offer different flavored matchas here.
You have to get banana pudding matcha. And order extra pudding. Pay the difference it’s worthhhhh!

Oh and the strawberry matcha is bomb! So so good. Also I like to order extra puree.

My two favorite baristas so far were Cynthia and Megan.

They are so friendly and don’t break a sweat even with a constantly busy store.
