“Very clean restaurant. Food was fresh and hot. Food at this location was actually hot enough to melt the cheese. Seating area was very clean. Help was very polite and spoke well English. Understood English as well (rare thing in texas)..... Food was correct order. Parking and access to restaurant was very easy. On and off highway very convenient. I would recommend this whataburger for a meal.“

“Local tradition and very tasty. Prices are very fair and the atmosphere is very unique - you won't find another place like it in my experience. The hours are unusual - they're only open till they run out of food so you need to be there for an early lunch to ensure you can order. The food is made to order so you will be waiting, but I found out on my visit that they will take call in orders so you could possibly shave the wait down. But then you miss out on the funky atmosphere and rubbing shoulders with the locals.

I wish there were an easier way to eat your food hot and fresh, but what can you expect out of a restaurant that is literally ran out of a home? Try it, it's worth the visit.“

“My first time eating Burger Island. I'm impressed.
I ordered the jungle burger, no bun. No ketchup, no tomato. Taste was fantastic. I'd order it again for sure. The bacon was crunchy. Lettuce bed fresh. Burger just the right amount of char. Delicious.
My kids simply got nuggets and curly fries. Both were great.
Another great aspect is they do to-go with pride! The containers had an air vent in the top to keep condensation from building and ruining the food. Nice touch.
This place deserves business.
Inside was clean. Service was friendly. Food great.
The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is...well...the black ceiling makes the dust on the air vents super visible. Unfortunately, I couldn't ignore this.

“I wanted to tell you about one of your managers at the Live Oak, Texas location. Ms. Arnesia (or Amesia if I spelled it wrong). My family and I live about 20 miles from this location. You don't have many locations where I live, but the food quality to me is worth the drive. However, this time we ordered out of convivence. We ordered food via a food delivery app (DoorDash) and was devastated when we received EMPTY bags at our front door. Over a $100 food order and it was gone. I drove to this location with the bags in hand, and when I asked to speak to the Manger, I met Ms. Arnesia. She explained how I was the 3rd customer that had happened too that day and she had already reported the driver. She helped me to do the same. She was working deliveries and ensured us the orders were included and sealed. She was so sorry it had happened to me and my family. She asked us to not eat any of the remaining items for our safety. She reprocessed the entire order including the drinks and shakes. I'm sure being the third person with that issue that day during her shift, should have allowed for her to at the very least have some aggravation. She never spoke, displayed, or seem to have any negative reaction at all in correcting this situation. When I arrived, I was furious, and I left feeling so care for and appreciated and safe. After meeting Ms. Arnesia, I won't be going anywhere else for my American Burger meals if she is there. She has added to your quality and delicious food with her exceptional customer service. I can't thank her enough for saving our weekend and keeping us in good spirits after all that had happened. People make time to file complaints so easily but fail to praise the people who stand out and go above and beyond. I made time for Ms. Arnesia today. “We got breakfast, the pancakes are a decent size, comes with hot syrup, jam, and whipped butter. The omelette is tasty, the grilled cheese is PERFECT—do yourself a favor and get it.
The staff is incredibly friendly, wonderful individuals. The place was clean, organized and seemed they can accommodate for large groups to come by and enjoy the food.
Highly recommend.

“I've been here multiple times because it's one of locations closer to me, and I've personally for the most part have had a positive experience, the price is not cheap especially for a burger, but the fact they actually cooked it on the spot and give you a fairly large portion makes it worth it, I do notice sometimes the burgers are soggy and the fries too, but it hasn't personally bothered me as much as it has others. Overall would recommend.“

“I like coming here with my nephew, the picky eater. They have descent shakes. The drive thru helps if you are not trying to go inside and order. They are pretty quick. I don't think they've ever messed up my order either (knock on wood). I can get my nephew a hot dog, a corn dog or a burger. It's nice to have that option. The buns are covered in poppy seeds, which might cause a false positive on a test. That last tid bit is just from personal experience. P.S

“This is such a beautiful place, it's very down to earth, has great customer service, Christian based a very friendly atmosphere and very welcoming. It's big and spacious and had a slight wait time but was well worth it. The food was fresh, really great seasoned fries and huge hamburgers with all of the works! I had the Country burger meal and my husband had a separate burger meal. You can order to go or dine in- my husband and I decided to dine in and really enjoyed our experience.
